Dumbass eastern european here - what is Tres Leches?
To be even more specific, it’s a Mexican dessert made of sponge cake, soaked in a mixture of three milks. Wet cake may not sound appetizing, but it’s absolutely delicious.
In addition to the other comment, it means “3 milks” literally.

Is three leches a thing outside of Mexico?
Loads of latin countries have tres leches. I prefer the Caribbean ones.
Coquito I call Ron con 5 leches.

Dulce de leche (which is essentially caramel made from milk).
So tres leches cake has whipping cream, condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Cuatro leches cake adds dulce de leche.
Fun random fact: Mexico calls milk caramel “cajeta”. Just don’t say that word in public around Uruguay/Argentina

Why is it forbidden? It’s just like tres leches cake except it’s soaked in 4 milks.
Not a big cheese person, doesn’t leeches mean cheeses? 4 chessese should be a little expensive than 3, no? elifaa… (explain like im five and american) im five american cheeses
I’ll un-brainfart you. If the price of the cheeses per volume is the same, and both three and four cheeses fill the same container, the price would remain the same 🙂
