Inside sources in the GOP are seriously peeved that President Donald Trump and his family can’t stop concentrating on enriching themselves long enough to get Republicans through the November midterms.

Trump and Republicans are at risk in the upcoming midterm elections, due in no small part to regret from his own supporters, and even many Republicans who continue supporting him feel as if they are “walking the plank” on his behalf. Yet according to a recent report, Trump continues to focus on money-making projects instead of shoring up support from American voters — a fact that is worrying many of his fellow Republican politicians.

the extra funny part of this: everyone who can even afford to be in the same room as Trump on any kind of regular basis, enough to tell him “stop grifting so much”, is also more rich than they have any right to be, I can guarantee it.

there are plenty of poor people that love trump but cannot afford to actually be in his social orbit, I’m talking about the people this article is actually talking about, the “panicked GOP insiders” who are likely also obscenely rich and prominent republicans.

Not for those people, but the president won’t be in the same room as the poors without a selfish reason, you better believe it. They have nothing but contempt for their supporters that aren’t rich.

      more rich

Which reminds me: what’s been happening with the loss of comparative suffixes? I see less many of them all the time, as people seem to become inarticulater.

People who enabled a dementia-ridden racist misogynistic pedophile fascist narcissist embezzler who thinks he’s above the law are trying to convince him to stop embezzling?

Remember when Hunter Biden, someone who didn’t even work for the federal government, was accused of enriching himself? Remember the reaction?

    Hypocrite fucks.

Haha. They are still GRRRRR so mad about Hunter.

I think it was Adam Mockler just recently debating some conservative chud and that guy brought up the “Hunter Biden laptop” and how the government put their thumb on the scales when it came to having that just run wild on the platforms of Facebook and Xitter, etc.

They are still SO butthurt that their bullshit story about a hard-drive, excuse me, “laptop” was not the October Surprise that they meant it to be.

You can tell that many of them probably literally cried about it at the time that Biden won despite the “laptop”. They seem to have emotional scars about it and they feel personally attacked that their ratfucking with the “laptop” didn’t work out. I bet some of these people - this guy was probably in his twenties - will still be talking about that stupid “laptop” 50 years from now.

The GOP caused this problem in the first place. They could have rejected Trump any time in the last decade, but they chose this path instead.

    Reap what you have sewn.

Yeah, I figured the title was bullshit. “Rich enough already” was never said. This is about Repuglicans losing seats.

They’re mentally ill. It would be hoarding if it were anything other than money. Instead, we called them “successful” for decades while they exploited workers, and still do.

If anything, they are telling them to pause their grifting until the midterms. “Rich enough” is not a concept that can exist in a republican brain.

This might be a good time to remind you all that a significant part of this wealth has been accumulated in the past two years. In fact, when NYS was going after his companies, and those big financial judgements came in, it was assumed he didn’t have that much liquid cash on hand, and would have to liquidate some of his properties to pay it off.

But then not only did the judgement get reduced, and he got reelected, but he also found crypto. He stated his Trump coin only a few days before inauguration, and has made bank on it.

All this wealth is due primarily to fleecing his supporters into buying his meme coin.

Also a good time to remember that wealth inequality in the US continues to grow and has grown over the past few decades. Well, closer to a century than not, so y’know, this is a huge issue.

You want to know one little measure of it? The new Grand Tour released with three new presenters. They did their first episode in the US looking at three US cars. The Mustang and the Corvette - but versions that qualify as supercars. Then one more US-made car that qualifies as a hypercar. Why are these being made? Because increasingly the US has people rich enough to buy them in enough quantity that the car manufacturers want that profit.

Our country is broken. We need to solve the issue of oligarchs in the US. They are already eating cake while we die in the streets and quietly in our homes.

I don’t think “found crypto” describes what you really mean, that he found a way to accept bribes and to use the bribe money to scam poor people.

All you have to do is release a new crypto coin, and have people bribe you with well-timed bribes to keep the price looking like it’s going up. The people giving you bribes know it’s just manipulation and that they’ll lose everything, but to all of the normal MAGA investors with room temperature IQs, they see a good investment.

That way, you get to double dip on the bribe money. When the bribes slow down, the price will go down and those people you grifted will lose everything.

    I doubt this.

You don’t get that rich by ever feeling like you have enough. They just always want more.

Financial obesity is neurotoxic, an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.

Corporations are the only ‘persons’ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but trillionaires should be forced to transition into billionaires, and billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.

Also, what Hunter is accused of is a rounding error compared to the towering amount of fraud donnie and his family are doing.

But since he has the last name of “Biden” he should be punished just for being an obvious beta-cuck. And of course people like Marge were clearly obsessed with his dong.

Well, the Bidens are Catholics so their anger is part of their upbringing. In England, they just call them Papists, but here in America, the protestants have gotten so wild, they breath condemnation…which makes me wonder about their ephemeral allegiances.

Oh, that’s right, I forgot all about them being Catholic.

I used to know a radical evangelical that would say all kinds of stuff I would just be dumbstruck by - one was that even though he was raised Catholic and most of his family was still Catholic, he not only thought Catholics were not “real” xtians, but that they were “pagans” (his word for pretty much every person not a Southern Baptist, including atheists and other xtians).

Now, I happened to remember all the invective Jack Chick aimed at Catholics with his comics, but I never thought I’d hear an adult repeat this kind of thing.

Also, I had recently read Robert Anton Wilson’s rather tongue-in-cheek comparison of Catholics to paganism, due to all the saints and so on…

I did ask this particular individual if he thought he’d even know what xtianity was if it wasn’t for Catholicism…I don’t remember his answer. IIRC, it was utterly incoherent…
