My dad and I are pretty close. I remember pretending to be asleep in the car as a kid so he would carry me inside.
I remember being small enough to sit on his shoulders at a county fair.
I even remember him bathing my sister and I when we were really young and he would always give us extra bubble bath and make sure we didn’t get soap in our eyes when rinsing our hair. (Like age 5-7).
Even that close. He never put his hands on my waist in my life. I never sat on his knee or lap. He never came into my room while I was dressing or anything weird like that.
