This kind of construction isn’t going to be pretty and the fact that Trump is allowing it…I mean, it’s sort of Obama-esque but we all know it’s Trump’s ego running the show.

Allowing it? NPS didn’t ask to add a ballroom to the White House. Trump is tearing down part of the White House because he’s adding a grand ballroom, same way he paved over the Rose Garden. Literally no one asked him to do this.

It’s a historic building, which is always challenging, and I’m sure the end result will be gaudy and golden. That said, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to add an event space. I’m sure it will be useful.
