The man show got cancelled because Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope aren’t funny and the show ran out of material after the first season
So fucking weird all these guys are still relevant.
If you have friends in the business they’ll just keep putting you into shows. Rogan reinvented himself half a dozen times, taking whatever work he could get just to stay on TV.
Same story with Howie Mandel and Drew Carey. Producers look for a name/face people recognize and these dinosaurs keep getting more work.
rogan did fear factor, newsradio (is that the show?) and ufc. i dont think hes a good example of someone who took whatever work. he got lucky his podcast exploded and thats why hes still relevant
His filmography is a bit longer than that. The man has three different pro-drugs documentaries, for instance.

He kept getting shots and he kept taking them. The man was a magnet for Hollywood investment cash. He was already a mega-millionaire before the Spotify deal.
yeah he was thats why he was able to just do his podcast he didnt need to worry about money. fear factor was his big bucks

Jimmy Kimmel has always portrayed himself as a dirt bag. I don’t understand how he made it on TV.
This show is the reason I have always dislike him.
He was kind of funny on “Win Ben Stein’s Money”, so I initially looked forward to this show.
But then I watched it and it kind of pissed me off. Like, is this what a “man” is supposed to be? A sexist douchebag with a terrible sense of humor.
It was a TERRIBLE show. Glorified womanizing and binge drinking.
Despite what he says now, that was who he was. He shouldn’t have had a career after that.
But he’s just a talking head. He doesn’t write his material, he just reads teleprompters and has celebrity friends.
The first two seasons were. That third season they pivoted from satire to genuine trash. Hoo boy.
