GOP Keynote speakers for this violent stunt.
Been saying it for years now:
Perfect hypocrites.
Anyone left at this point is a full-on cultist, fully subsumed into the hivemind.
Hypocrisy is only a failing if you believe in fairness or justice.
That is a disgustingly true observation
These people are the people who say ‘without God, what would stop people from doing bad things?’
They’re fucking sociopaths is what they are, anyone who says that.
What that means is that they literally cannot concieve of the idea of making up their own, independent, at least somewhat consistent moral framework.
The only way they know how to think is backwards, is to justify already reached conclusions.

Fucking classic
Yes we all know. Umfortunately the hypocrisy is completely invisible to them, so posts like this are a circlejerk at best.
It’s good to remind others not in the loop why the propaganda is nuts.
But yeah you’re not convincing MAGA losers of this. How an event makes them feel is more important than the facts and consistency it represents.
Uuuhmmmfortunately
When will people realize that republicans do not support the first (edit: SECOND, lmao, but yeah first too) amendment? They support use of force to further their agenda. That’s it. Making gun ownership out to be a right wing thing is such a gigantic fuckup.
Trump’s rhetoric was similar to that of Los Angeles-based federal prosecutor Bill Essayli, who tweeted over the weekend that, “If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you.”
Have they seen the multiple angles of footage of this?
Man had a phone in one hand and the person he was helping up in the other.
Unless he had a third hand somewhere, I struggle to see where the fucking gun was.
They really be taking the old GOP doctrine to psychopathic levels just to own the Libs.
They’ll put whatever spin they can on this to justify the actions of their gestapo.
Jon Stewart says it best:
“They’re lying. We saw it. And that’s how brazen they lie when they know we’ve seen the truth. That’s how they lie when they know we know. Imagine how they lie when there’s no evidence to contradict them. And maybe that more than anything was why Alex Pretti reall was a threat. Because he was brandishing a weapon, a handheld aluminum, 1080p, 60 FPS, weapon of mass illumination. Because there is nothing more dangerous to a regime predicated on lies than witnesses who capture the truth.”
Besides which, law enforcement is not legally justified in shooting you damn near no matter what you do. A cop is not a court of law. A cop is not a jury and judge. A cop is not an executioner. Their legal jurisdiction extends to getting you in front of a courtroom and nothing else.
local nazi supporter on my Facebook basically says it’s his fault for being stupid because he should have announced that he had a gun when he began interacting with them
I’m sure that that would go over well
edit: anybody willing to approach ICE/CBP and loudly declare that they have a gun on them?
Conservatism only holds one position, there should be in-groups that are protected but not bound by law, and out-groups that are not protected but bound by law.
Right now any idiot can buy a gun, that might not be true for long though
I’m not from the US and only have a vague understanding of the dynamics on the other side of the pond. But damn would it be funny if of all the things he does this would be his downfall. Like, there’s a million reasons not to let that guy near any public office… The pedophilia, the ridicule of disabled people, the dementia, the dismantling of democracy and its institutions, the treatment of women, the lying, you know this list could go on forever. But now there’s this one thing he says that any other country on earth regards as a reasonable and sensible thing to enforce, which is “people shouldn’t be allowed to carry guns around all the time” and suddenly he has a problem with important voter demographics. Like… this is a problem now? Unlike… *wildly gesturing at everything*…?
Guns are more important than human life in the USA. Don’t believe me? We have lost 1.5 million Americans to gun violence in the last thirty years. That is more American citizens than all wars we have fought COMBINED… Crickets
Trump could molest a child that looks like his daughter standing in the middle of Fifth Avenue, pull out a gun, and execute her on live television for all to see and not lose a voter.
Trump mentions something negative about guns and voters threaten to leave his camp. That about sums up the insanity we are dealing with.
He didn’t lose any support when he said “Take the gun first, due process second” in his first term, so this won’t hurt him either. The talking heads are up in arms about it, but this story will be dead in a week and his supporters will forget. All they care about is hurting brown people. It’s so dumb.
I saw an interview of some folks on the street in the south yesterday. “My 401k is doing good so im happy with how hes doing.”
Literally the most selfish people I’ve ever heard of. Unless you take from them in an obvious way, they just keep on truckin.
The US was all about immense narcissim from the very start, so it isn’t surprising. It’s disturbing and disgusting, but makes sense.
I mean those other things aren’t garunteed by what Americans call the bill of rights.
As I said,
I’m not from the US
so I act fully within my moral frame of reference to consider having that appended to a constitution as utterly insane.
But, you know, that Bill of Rights also includes amendments about e.g. requiring warrants to enter homes or due process and I guess there’s a whole bunch of laws about the stuff trump does I mentioned or didn’t mention above. But yeah, guns are obviously special or something.
Guns are addictive…
They’re fun as fuck but if you spend enough time around them, you constantly aware of not having them when you don’t. Like, a gun in another room 20 feet away, and someone will got get the gun.
An explosion and fireball literally at your fingertips gives a huge boost of adrenaline and testorone on top of it, so it’s not just the mental "this is a great stick!’ base thinking but an actual physical addiction to the biochemicals that are released.
Same thing with huge v8 engines. There’s no lead but the exhaust fumes aren’t much better.
There’s a reason people are like they are, we might as well understand it. And the reasons why Americans latch on to guns and trucks is pretty easy to understand. It’s not something unique to Americans either, this is just where all the guns and v8s are
If that’s the reason for guns and huge cars, then it’s one of the best takes I’ve ever seen for regulating the fuck out of both.
There are plenty of other ways to feel empowered, big boy. Go downhill mountain biking. Learn martial arts. Become a part time lumberjack. Whatever. But if you just need hobbies that make you pound your chest, there’s really no reason to pick those that kill people or the planet.
Here’s the chain of events:
-
You asked me a question
-
I answered it
-
You downvoted me after completely misunderstanding the point and still not understanding anything I said or why I said it, despite you being the one that asked me to explain it.
Why in the absolute fuck wouldn’t I block you immediately so I never accidentally answer one of your questions again?
Like, I don’t even know what the fuck you’re doing.
Why ask me to explain something, agree that it’s plausible, but down vote the answer I took the time to type just to help you because you said you couldn’t understand something
Well, you know, the question was why that guns topic is so much more important than all the other atrocities going on. You see the relation in there? This idea of “I get there’s topic A, but why the fuck would that matter more than actually relevant topics B through ZZ?” Any relevant answer would thus have to establish some relation between A and any other topic and maybe generalise this relation a bit.
Your answer was “guns and v8 make dick hard”. More or less. Which is a not too elaborate but somewhat fair statement in itself, but, you know, kind of absolutely doesn’t answer my question. Alas, you missed the topic. Happens to the best. But don’t get all mad if you don’t get your upvote then, pal.

Hmmm. Reading this makes me think, maybe you shouldn’t have a gun.
I mulled over buying one for a few years and finally bought one a few weeks ago. It’s not a decision I took lightly. In my mind, the absolute best outcome of owning a firearm is that it is an absolute waste of a lot of money.
Could never tell if she’s twacked out on a lot of adderall or some meth. Probably splitting hairs.
Well, they are wealthy, so probably adderall. But its basically the same thing
Loved Jon Stewart this week

True, that is actually brandishing, but I don’t think anybody really thought that helping a woman off of the ground while never touching or showing off your gun is brandishing.
For conservatives, words don’t have meanings anymore. If a word sounds like it might have a negative connotation, then it is a word that they use to describe any opposition. They don’t need to bother waiting to see what actually happened. The important thing for conservatives is to say the bad-sounding word first. Nobody has ever held them to account for lying.

She’s holding her gun in such a weird way
They both are. It’s clear they have never fired a weapon before. They might shoot at someone, but they’re not hitting anything unless by accident. Which is the likely outcome for these chuckleheads.
I don’t know what the recoil is for whatever he’s holding but if it’s anything like an AK he’s losing a nipple.
Looks like an AR-15. I used to enjoy going to the range and doing safe, responsible shooting. I’m no gun expert, but I’ve gotten to shoot different guns that other people own and I have more experience with the AR-15 than any other gun. I never shot an AK-47 so I can’t compare. The AR has a good bit of a kick, but it’s nothing like a hunting rifle or a shotgun. If he pulled the trigger the way he’s holding it now he’d have absolutely zero chance of controlling it, you do want that thing planted into your shoulder. It’s also possible it’s the .22 caliber version of the AR, if that’s the case then he’d be fine, those are like shooting a BB gun, although from what little I can see of the end of the barrel it looks too big to be a .22
She’d smack herself right in the face if she pulled the trigger on her handgun. Couple of clowns right there.
The GOP = scared white snowflakes
they view hypocrisy as strength so there’s really no point in rehashing this
There is.
okay besides whinging
Do you think everyone knows all the things you do?
absolutely not. that would be terrifying
Off topic, but is your username a song reference? If so, mad respect.
The Minnesota Goddam, is Nina Simone Mississippi Goddam, the hey this isn’t the ymca is a Simpsons thing.
Nina Simone Mississippi Goddam
Yeah, that’s the one I was thinking of, thanks. Very apropos to this moment in time. As I said, respect.
They look like the inept culprits of a murder mystery right after they’ve been discovered and about to make a getaway.
