I don’t see what’s weird about it, if they are aware of it and possibly have other things that take priority what else could they say? They were just truthful and straight to the point. It’s extremely hard to handle all feedback and stuff from a community as solo/indie devs, it’s not easy on any level for that matter. If you took several seconds more and emotional effort to be super nice to every single person who interacts with your game we wouldn’t have any games releasing at all. It’s important to keep your responses to a minimum while also making it clear what the situation is. I think that was a good reply, not offensive at all and made you understand that they know and will fix it.

The major obstacle for me is recommend videos as I almost exclusively use that and youtube knows what to show me (good factual science channels, nothing with AI used at all, gaming and tech news, essays and documentaries etc.) and no other app than the official youtube one does that as far as I’m aware. (I use ReVanced though). I’ve really tried to jump over to newpipe and grayjay but I miss so much and never discover any new channels through them.

Have so many stories like this. One from high-school that I thought of immediately:

Had a girl in my class who was very white trash, she had a g-string with a butterfly at the top of the T section at the back and got the task of giving out papers to everyone else. When she went to the front to put down the left over ones she bent down and we all saw that butterfly. Me, being a very introvert and awkward kid normally, for some reason blurted out “oh hello Mrs. Butterfly, nice to see you”. She had a 5 second meltdown and turned bright red before running out of the classroom. Right after that class ended as we were walking out into the corridor she was waiting by the door, as soon as I went out she kicked me, with her pointy high heels, right between my legs. She hit my taint and I blacked out from the pain, had never felt such soul crushing direct pain before. Nothing else happened, it’s like we just agreed that we are on good terms again and everything continued as normal after that. Not that we were friends before, but we did have some banter and some connection through other friends in the class. Then we made out a couple of years later during a party right before we graduated, haven’t seen her since then.

I’ve had that issue in several ways. Of course what you said, had an extension cord with a switch below my desk and I kept accidentally hitting that switch in the same way, lived in an apartment some years ago that had some shitty electrical work done by the previous tenant and if I had enough lamps on while my computer and screen where on and I tried to plug in my phone or turn the TV on the circuit popped, and most recently I’ve been playing games via cloud streaming (Shadow) and my Ethernet cable has lost the security tab thingy on both ends and I keep accidentally moving other cables so they touch the Ethernet cable and it falls out. Most of the time I can just put it back in an reconnect to the cloud computer but sometimes it just refuses to do that so the cloud computer shuts down before I’m able to get it working. Lost several hours of progress in various games throughout the past couple of years, but I never buy anything new unless it’s absolutely needed so I just live with and accept it '^^

It’s the one thing I just never get used to. Everything else about seasons etc. has stopped being surprising and anything more than “oh, this is happening again”, but it never stops feeling unreal that it gets dark so damn late in the morning and early in the afternoon.

In the US, sure, not so much anywhere else. Halloween is not at all as big in most of the world as it is in the US, so if you want people to dress up it has to be explicitly stated on the invite.
