The roughly infinity times worse aspect is them copying Trump’s signature blown-out-asshole lip pursing. I went decades never seeing a human being do that. Those were happy times. The closest thing I can recall was the Guild Navigator from the Lynch Dune movie who was a horribly mutated creature, it sort of had the Trump Lips. Now people all over, the worst people, are doing it regularly.

All the little manbabies doing their best to pass off their Trump impressions as how they actually speak. It’s fucking pathetic.

Over here I mention how amazingly woke and leftist bikes are, and their role in supercharging the feminist movement in the early 20th century. I also link to two good videos about it, by Rebecca Watson and Climate Town.

While I don’t really have the stomach for some of the harsher Magneto reversals I’ve imagined, this is one I can get behind, that we declare automobiles as an instrument of fascism and tyranny that should be condemned for their contribution to global pollution and the climate crisis. And this can be used to justify closing half the streets to motor traffic and limiting gas-run Non-Passenger-Work-Vehicles, (id est SUVs) to a maximum off-highway speed of 25 mph.

This reninds me of the time I was driving through Des Moines on I-80 and I noticed a Harley Davidson dealership just off the highway. About a quarter mile later I saw a wrecked Harley on the side of the road, and what appeared to be two halves of a dead guy lying in the grass. Someone’s test drive was undoubtedly exhilarating.

The smallest, cheapest Harley is like 12000 USD and almost 1000cc. The latest CEO said he was going to learn to ride a bike, but ran into an issue: The only beginner bikes Harley makes are for the asian market. Small, non or barely-highway capable motorcycles being overpriced isn’t exclusively a Harley problem, anywhere else in the world you can buy *something *new that will go at about 60 mph for about 1000 USD. It might take 14 seconds to get there, but it’s fine for learning or getting around town. Entry level bikes or scooters in the US start at like 4000 dollars new.

But the problem of scummy dealerships telling novices they should start on the biggest sportsbike is even worse at the other dealerships, since Harleys just get shinier and more bloated as they get pricier, not so much faster.

Back in the nineties, Harley Davidson was the affordable, no-nonesense bike of the blue collar worker, and BMWs were for yuppies with more money than sense. BMW hasn’t really changed much in the intervening time, but Harley Davidson have very much leapfrogged them.

I’ve met like three Iowans, all blue collar tradesmen, and one of them has literally biked from one side of the state to the other. From my very small sampling, I can confidently say that 1/3 of Iowans are avid bikers.

IOWA WELL KNOWN BASTION OF HOG CRANKIN DONORCYCLES ARROOOO

Edit- but seriously why do they hate bike lanes? I thought even motorists appreciate them because it gets bikes off the main lanes and out of traffic? Or like, does he want bikes gone all together? I’m so confused.
