That “it’s only a few bad apples” would be a reasonable answer if that system gets rid and punishes those bad apples.

But if the system protects and ignores those bad apples, then the whole system is rotten

Right up there with pulling oneself up by their bootstraps, which was coined to make fun of rich fucks thinking this was somehow possible.

Adding on “The customer is always right”.

People often forget the next few words which are “in matters of taste”.

In which case, yes, absolutely. If a paying customer wants a well done steak with ketchup, sure. Or if they want some ugly clothing. Hell yeah, as long as they’re paying.

It’s not an excuse to act like an entitled asshole.

“…the barrel.” Apples don’t come in bunches, but at the time the saying was coined they were carted around like that. (Also it only took one, not a few.)

(I suppose the modern version is “one nazi spoils the bar.”)

If this theory were true than Biden would have released the Epstein files. Both parties are complicit.

Biden respected the law, though. The files were sealed by a judge until after Ghoulaine Maxwell’s trial. They weren’t unsealed until after Jan 2024. Biden couldn’t, by law, release them.

Biden didn’t run a cult. He allowed the DOJ to operate independently of the executive, unlike Trump who demands loyalty oaths and treats every agency like his personal operatives.

Yeah, I did, or else I wouldn’t have even known what pedocon meant. We already know there’s going to be some democrats on the list, or at the very least their donors. I don’t understand why this one isn’t a valid point.

Ok, but right now way more Republicans are for sure on that list(they just can’t seem to leave kids alone) and Biden isn’t in power to release the thing. Also leftists don’t particularly like Biden all that much, and it’s funny when the right thinks they’ve figured out a gotcha because it’s just a projection of how much they’ll let their own guy off the hook for stuff they know is awful.

If most of the Democrats go down then most of their voters would be largely ok with that. And at least the Democrats have made some moves to push this issue forward in the last couple weeks, which for them is refreshing given how little energy they often put into anything at all.

It’s weird this conversation sticks to democrats and Republicans. How many leaders from other countries would be implicated in this list? Either way Biden is a bitch for not releasing it, but I’d believe an excuse that he didn’t want to potentially fuck up 10 alliances with other countries before I believe he was protecting some pedo dems. I wouldn’t accept the excuse, but I’d believe it.

Names should be released regardless of party or country. Let the chips fall

This was a new idea to me. That patriarchy and absolute power were connected to abuse and rape. I feel like someone just turned the lights on.
