i feel the mobile form factor makes games waaaay more approachable, installing an app feels like less of an act compared to pulling an AppImage for desktop use-
You skipped a few steps, Maria.
First get a washcloth and take it with you into a nice hot shower. Put the razor where you can find it with your eyes shut. Lather up your hair with some nice-scented shampoo. Spread some of the lather to your face and rub the stubbly areas with the washcloth, to get the hairs lifted up and the skin pushed down. You’ll get a closer shave and fewer cuts.
Now start shaving with your eyes shut, paying attention to how the razor feels on your skin, sliding through the shampoo foam, getting rid of all that stubble.
If you have short hair you can clean up your neck too, just feel for the edge of your hairline with a finger of your other hand so you don’t shave too high. Same for in front of your ears. Then finish washing and conditioning your hair. Feel free to shave any other parts of yourself while you’re in there. Just remember to give them a little rub with the soapy washcloth first.
If you have very dry hair, you can shampoo it first, put on conditioner, and use some of that to make your face slippery for shaving, while your hair gets moisturized during those minutes.
well yeaaaaa- thats would make it safe tho… the point if the pist was kinda that it is unsafe - but thank u anyway <3 i will prolli actually do it like this now ~
Yeah, the post was definitely funnier the dangerous way! <)%^)
yeah I just use a foil shaver
I buy my foil shaved.
I’d wanna play it on mobile and pc
I’ve actually shaved without a mirror without cutting myself while in a hospital. I wouldn’t recommend bc scary
As far as your game, it would be nice to have mobile, but there are probably a lot of hurdles to it.
I don’t mind my face, I just found it easier to shave in shower, you really don’t need a mirror
How do you come up with this stuff Maria? It is inspired!
Instructions unclear.
No razor; used nail clippers.
Looked at cloth.Is anyone O+?
O+?.. like a positively charged oxygen, orrrr… over 0 years old?..
yes
I’ve found that the further I get with laser the more bearable it is, not just easier in general but looking in the mirror while I do it. Just can’t wait until I don’t need to put so much work into covering what’s still there when I’m wearing makeup
That’s exactly how I shave. I can’t stand to look at my face…
yeaaaa… its how im doin it too… it works. it gets done… yeaaaa its fine- its oki.
we shall continue doin that- will share better technique if i find one.
The better technique is either shower or soaking razor in hot water every X to keep it hot. Also, go first downwards then upwards. Upwards directly is too rough on the skin and you will get hurt.
After shaving in the shower or out, throw some face lotion, specific after shave if you can so microcuts close faster and you are good to go.
I’m a cis man and I don’t mind shaving in the mirror, but I usually shave in the shower because hot hair + skin + blades = no cuts.
I’ve heard that you shouldn’t cross cut like that (down then up) as it can increase the risk of ingrown hairs. Can’t absolutely vouch for the validity of that though.
Your hair texture makes a lot of difference on that. Curly or kinky hairs get ingrown more easily.
I don’t shave my face so take this with a grain of salt, but I have been convinced by several people with shaved heads that shaving with a safety razor and badger hair brush is the way to go for the closest shave.
It’s also like INSANELY cheaper than disposable razor heads and they last longer. Like we used to buy a pack of gilette heads for $40-50 for 12 every couple of weeks, now we buy one pack of 10 blades for $5 every few months.
Why not electric shaver??
They don’t give as close a shave, and I imagine that that extra little bit matters a lot for some transfems. I certainly prefer an electric shaver (I have the Braun 9350cc), but I’m not dysphoric and I am very lazy.
This. Please don’t use an electric razor if you’re looking for gender euphoria. I use one because I’m a cis guy and I think the slight hint of stubble looks good. But for silky smooth skin no electric will ever get you there.
You need to use a high quality razor (you’ll cut yourself less as well), shaving foam (get something flowery scented if that helps with the gender feels), and you absolutely must apply damp heat to your skin first. Ideally shave in the bath or fresh out of the shower, but if that’s not an option, take a cloth, soak it in very warm water (hot enough that its almost uncomfortable to touch, but not quite) and press it to your face. Apply foam. Apply towel again. Apply foam again. Now shave.
I know that part sucks because you probably want the whole awful experience to be over as fast as possible, but a little extra time will get you a much smoother shave and you’ll be less likely to cut yourself.
Replace your razor or razor head often. Dull razors make bad skin. Men’s brands are distinctly cheaper (fuck the pink tax) so if using a men’s razor doesn’t hit the dysphoria buttons too hard its a good deal. Harry’s are exceptional quality for the price, and you can get them on a mail order subscription plan if you don’t want to be seen buying them in store.
After shaving, apply coconut oil or a high quality moisturizer. Never use alcohol based aftershaves, they dry your skin out. Plus coconut oil smells fucking great. Rub it into your scalp too, your hair will be silky soft. Better than any conditioner.
Double-edged safety razors make it way cheaper to replace the blade frequently (a new blade every shave, one side per cheek isn’t unreasonable at less than $0.50 for the absolute most expensive ones, less than $0.10 for most) and work quite well. I’ve heard they suck for anything but your face, though, so a multi-blade razor marketed to women might be your best bet for anything else.
i said - any ki d of razor -… hmm ya iguess that excludes electric ones… but i didnt mean it that way. I meant like - use whatcha wana
Just add being in the shower and that’s what I do. Plus, I don’t have issues with not being able to touch my face, and washing it after helps me find the spots I missed the first time
Seconded for shaving in the shower 👌🏻👌🏻
Also try conditioner for shaving, it’s amazing and I’ll never go back
What about…um, y- you know…the other things?
