    Binary on fingers really comes into its own when you need to order 1023 beers over heavy background noise. Except when there’s a mix-up and you end up with -1 beer.

      In the UK, a reversed V sign is the equivalent of “the finger”, so this is already plenty offensive to me

            I think it’s because in the UK they start counting (regularly) with the index finger, so the regular binary two would look unnatural in context

      ok sign with middle finger…

      my more practical finger binary system would have op show 6 beers. 3 beers would be thumb and forefinger. System is digits forward to enemy have missing fingers be 0, raised 1.

        Maybe it is. I’ve seen some pretty lazy thumb use for that purpose in France at least. It looks a little indeterminate to me. 🤷
