I’ll say that for an organization primarily focused on outreach they really feel like controlled opposition. If I was a higher up McDonald’s I’d be donating to them. It’s all culture jamming and publicity stunts in an organization that’s controversial on ways people are sympathetic and aiming for sympathy in ways people aren’t with a bad reputation and little understanding as to why the average joe isn’t vegan.
Like seriously they’re not just calling you and nearly everyone you love a murderer and demanding a lifestyle change without trying to ease the transition, they’re also anti pet, and they’re really weird about it
Yeah, the anti-pet stance is especially weird.
PETA is an organisation whose main priority is getting publicity, rather than actually doing anything useful to help animals.
Any good they do is an accidental byproduct of that.
