      I suppose it’s targeted towards getting people who fall for these scams to get onto Linux. At least they’d probably fall victim to fewer tech scams if the scammer doesn’t know how to deal with Linux.

    That second sentence is a bald faced lie. I lost grub thanks to a failed update and then 2 days of my life trying to repair it.

      No virus or ransomware? Also nonsense. BERT, Pay2Key, Helldown are but a few examples of ransomwares that target Linux.

    I used to do charity IT for folks. I’d upgrade with whatever RAM I had laying around, add an SSD, polish it up, install Linux Lite, get all drivers straight, install Chrome or Firefox, setup their email, show them how to get to GMail, FaceBook, etc.

    Here’s the secret sauce: I never fucking told them it was Linux. STFU with your evangelism. STFU you fucking nerds.

    “Here’s a working computer. You’re welcome.”
