Which plan will they use? They could go 100% of districts being blue according to this:

It really sucks because RCV and proportional representation (using super districts) would solve so many problems—especially lesser of two evils voting. But is it better at this point to have as little MAGA representation as possible?

Oh I’m in favor of California paying its fair percentage of net revenue, AFTER we’ve deducted all the expenses of replacing the clawed-back funds for necessary services. And the traditional “asshole customer surcharge.” Should leave about $3.50

I wish the abbreviation ‘GOP’ would stop being used as they aren’t grand in any sense of the word.

Yeaaah, that map doesn’t even look as fuckity as most red states but it’s pretty clear to a CA native what they’re doing to Bakersfield and Fresno areas. That northern district eating a bit into SF Bay area looks a little odd but I wouldn’t have been surprised if that’s how it’s always been, lol.

Edit note: that one former gop speaker, what’s-his-face comes from that Bakersfield area that’s getting cut up.

It’s true, but doesn’t help that a ton of people living there also can’t legally vote due to undocumented status. I imagine the land owners are the ones voting and yeah, fuck 'em.

Bakersfield is shit covered asshole of California and this is coming from some born in Redlands and who has lived across the Inland Empire, the few times I’ve been to Bakersfield had made me want to go chat up the crackheads on baseline in San Bernardino. That entire fucking city and it’s surrounding region needs heavy reform.

      On what grounds?

According to the Constitution, maps will be drawn by the states. There is no national law against gerrymandering. The voting rights act only ensures that there are opportunity districts for minorities.

The only laws these maps violate are state laws and that will be alleviated by putting the action to a vote.
