And this is why I buy torx acres for anything I’m building myself. Unfortunately most premade things I buy have this crappy screw type.

2·3 months agoYeah I think the issue is less resolution and is more that their estimated photo size (1 MB) corresponds with a JPEG… If I’m backing up photos to a big disk, I’m going to be backing up the RAWs, (and maybe a sidecar file for edits) which are significantly larger.

2·3 months agoHow do they expect me to get 750,000 photos on a 750GB drive? Those things are like 35MB a piece! I’d need like a 28TB to store that much! What an inaccurate marketing blurb on the box…

Technology@lemmy.world•Firefox Has Quietly Integrated Brave's Adblock EngineEnglish
2·5 months agoI guess my question is more, is the “brave” one as good as uBlock? Or does it miss some things? Sounds like performance is better.
My only thought about using both would be if the “brave” version is more performant, but less protective, it could quickly get rid of most of the ads, and let uBlock get the rest, reducing how many are filtered at greater performance cost. But I’m sure that’s based on a gross misunderstanding of how it all works.

I just got a 5 dozen pack from Costco for $7. I remember those being like $20-25 a couple years ago.
