The title is a bit clickbaity but that’s the only story on this I could find and according to the rules, post needs to match the article’s title. Anyways, they are claiming that the government is in possession of the full video with the minute intact, not that the footage posted wasn’t missing a minute

A lot of peope in these comments are oddly confused about this article, probably because the headline is worded intentionally poorly.

This is a whistleblower revealing that the administration really did edit a minute out of the video and then lied about it normally missing a minute every day, and that this lie can be exposed because the original, unedited video contains the missing footage.

The whistleblower’s claim is challenging the official goverment word on this. This isn’t the government trying to Jedi mindtrick you, like how CBS wanted the headline to read.

A government source familiar with the investigation says the FBI, the Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Justice inspector general are all in possession of a copy of the video that does not cut from just before 11:59 p.m. to midnight of the night Epstein died by suicide in his cell.

What is unclear is why that section was missing when the FBI released what it said was raw footage from inside the Special Housing Unit the night Epstein died, Aug. 9-10, 2019

They’re just gonna throw in an AI generated minute. Last I read there were 3 minutes missing.

Every commenter before me only read the headline and misunderstood it.

You should try reading at least the post’s body, but maybe branch out and read the article as well.

That their copy isn’t missing time but the “unedited” released copy is? I dont see how that’s any better. Why just cut a (few) minute(s) out if they aren’t trying to hide something?

I didn’t say anything was better than any other thing. I only remarked that people were commenting on a misunderstanding of the headline alone, clearly not even having read the body. Their comments make no sense otherwise.
