Wishing him all the best. I have seen quite a few men die to that disease (no one dies of prostate cancer but it spreads really fast and to really bad places).

    Good luck Biden.

Since this is an opportunity to educate people about health, I will not discuss politics here. :)

    • If you’re a guy, your urinary tract is stupidly complicated from a medical viewpoint and there’s a prostate beneath the bladder which hydrogenates testosterone (T is produced by the brain) into dihydrotestosterone, produces fluid to mix the seminal fluid with, and generally supports fertility and gender specific phenotype.

    • With progressing age, the prostate enlarges, gets infected with HPV (nearly everyone gets it) and may get bacterial infections (typical ones are E. coli). It may also develop calcinations.

    • Risk is reduced if you live in Asia and eat a traditional menu containing much soy bean products which enables guys in those regions to enjoy several times less prostate cancer.

    • Risk is increased with nearly every urinary tract infection, especially if not conclusively diagnosed and treated.

    • After the age of 40, regularly have PSA (prostate specific antigen) measured from a blood test. It tells how much disintegration and immune reaction is occurring down there.

    • Regularly have ultrasound check-ups done. If there are UTI symptoms, treatment must not occur blindly, but must be followed by observation.

    • If you are young and your home country has medical insurance that covers HPV vaccination, get it while it’s free (because it costs 150 € a dose). If you’re rich enough, there may be a point in getting it later too, especially if you’ve not had unsafe sex (it doesn’t protect after infection). The majority of people get HPV during their lives and approximately 9 strains cause cervical cancer in women and raise the risk of prostate cancer in men. By getting vaccinated against HPV, you protect both yourself and your partners from drawing a ticket in a quite nasty lottery.

    • As long as prostate cancer is androgen dependent, it can be suppressed with an androgen blockade.

This is why after 60, I’m not going to try to be president. I’m retiring. Guy spent the last few good years he had stressed out running the country when he should’ve been playing bingo and sitting on a beach.

I think that’s not the point being made here. The point is that some people might prefer a calm, quiet life for their last years instead of having to deal with the stress of being president of one of the biggest countries on earth.

Not saying it was, though there may be studies that actually do show that link. My remark was more that one should enjoy the time they have when they’re old by relaxing, not pushing themselves past their prime to control a future they won’t have any part of living in.

What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???

I should note that there is no such thing as stage five cancer, only 1-4. And Jill Biden’s doctorate is in education.

I’ve seen people saying they don’t want to buy a Quest VR headset because Facebook supported the Uyghur genocide (reasonable) and then name PICO as an alternative despite it being owned by ByteDance which is tied to the Chinese government.

Please cite a source. As far as I’ve heard, despite several investigations by Congress, there has never been any evidence that Byte dance has any ties to the Chinese government. The only premise they could come up with the try to separate TikTok was that they are a Chinese company and subject to the totalitarian rule of China’s government.

China is a capitalist country, Russia is a capitalist country, America is a capitalist country, and right now the United States is committing a genocide in Gaza, because Americans have been conditioned to not care about Muslim people. Yet at the same time, our government is working with arab countries that are oppressive (with kings) and are known to have commited human rights abuses. Also, they played the part in 9/11. If this Jesus ever came back, you would just nail his ass back on the cross again. You smell like new born babe. I like the confidence but you seem confused. The United States uses some of its allies to coordinate and commit terrorist acts. And before you call me a Russian troll or a useful idiot, just know that all these capitalist countries do this. I mean, don’t you remember India just killing people in Canada? or the Saudi douche bags that killed that journalist who had his body chopped up into pieces? If you’re a serious person, you know this. The world is capitalistic and the wealth is consolidated at the top. There is not much money in the public sector and because the United States affects the world economically, the rest of the world is thrown into turmoil. There is a new economic system called BRICS. It’s challenging the petrol dollar. Basically, we’re approaching the beginning of the end. And pretty soon, they’re going to start using tactical nukes, which are low yield. COVID-19 was a biological weapon. Your government lies to you at every opportunity. You are nothing but cattle. Just to give you some, I don’t know, perspective you could read about Edward Bernays. Also, look up imperialism. Also, you could learn about hegemony. Oh child, you have so much to learn. Oh yeah, maybe you should learn about Alan Dulles. …During World War II, we financed the Nazis. Then, towards the end of the war, we used the Catholic Church, who was complicit and also had fascist elements inside of it and still does, to traffic, German scientist, to Argentina, and South America, and the United States, in which they worked on our rocket program to compete against the Soviet Union. these human trafficking pathways were called rat lines. The Book of History never closes and it’s just constant war. That’s all we do is war. And if there’s any innovation out there, most likely it’s going to be turned into a weapon or it came from the research from the military industrial complex because we don’t invest any real meaningful capital in anything other than learning how to kill women and children more efficiently. People like you just live in denial. But I mean, if we were friends in real life, I’d be busting out books, articles, all trusted sources. This isn’t some QAnon nonsense. This is real fucking life. I mean, if communism is a good idea or a bad idea, it’s still understandable that the kids of today are just kind of sick and tired of this bullshit exponential madness of capitalism. Populism is on the rise because this is what happens with capitalism in crisis. Fascist are the useful idiots of empire and America is an imperialist empire. I mean, you could say, oh, this is some kind of byproduct, oooooor it’s by design. And if you watch the cash flow and the money markets, you understand why things are the way they are. This is clearly intentional. And then why don’t you look into BlackRock? It’s just a labyrinth and we’re all walking into the trap as we argue with each other and it’s just generation after generation of just lazy thinking. Each generation in this country live less meaningful lives. It just gets worse. Those homeless people that you drive by and look at like animals in the zoo, just realize one day that could be you. There is no war but the class war and capitalism is global. There is no communism. Today is a world of capitalism. Also dig through some of the CIA files in the reading room on their website. You’ll find a lot of stuff that’s kind of revealing and insightful. America isn’t really locked down. It’s just people are lazy and they just don’t learn about how things work. Also, people will go out and share their opinions even though they did no work to have those opinions. If I knew you would actually listen, I would give you the links. But I mean, now anything goes and everybody’s a liar, I guess. It’s like Plato’s allegory of the cave. And all the people that do the bidding of this disinformation campaign are the ones that are going to suffer for it. I mean, things are not improving in this country. And eventually, you know, even you or… Some successful person will eventually fall victim to unemployment. Your currency is devaluing every single day. And now they have come up with crypto in which they can completely control everything you do with your money. But they kind of already could have done that with your bank account. Your money’s not baked backed by anything that’s real. It’s really just monopoly money with faith. And the only reason it has value is because the United States enforces that value with its violence and the world’s getting sick of it. But yet the world doesn’t have a better system. So it’s almost guaranteed that the world probably go up in flames. I don’t know, we’ll see, stay tuned.

also in Israel the settlers, the apocalyptic accelerationist are being listened to more and more. And there are certain elements in Israel’s government that are even more extreme than Netanyahu. Before the war and even now Israel is on the brink of a civil war. Israels leaders have intentions of going beyond just Iran and Palestine. America using it as a puppet but yet struggles to keep it from going outside the lines of acceptable behavior. The world now outside of the little hug box of America dumb fuckery views Israel as a unprofessional army. I mean, give it some time, baby, if we’re still around. You know, I’ve lived long enough to see it shift. Have you heard of the Dead Man Switch? That’s linked to Russia’s nuclear weapons? That was during the Cold War. I wonder what they have now. And then the tech bros in the United States are talking about having AI run our nuclear weapons. I mean you need to try harder. I know you probably got a job and hobbies and you don’t want to spend time on this but I just think you just probably shouldn’t share your opinions. Everything that I’ve talked about is actually true. If you look hard enough you will find all these accusations to Be True oh yeah, one more thing. They’re using open source intelligence with Peter Thiel’s Palantir to pick targets by scraping Twitter. So some snot-nose kid pretending to be an intelligence officer is making post online and then they’re shooting rockets at those locations and just recently they were accused of killing innocent civilians and that person shut down their account and I guess donated some money to charity and they felt awful for what they did. Oh child, oh child you know nothing. I mean shit. I’d rather have communism than what we have today. When you are sheltered, possibly wealthy, you really don’t feel the effects of these things. But the spectrum is shifting, and so as you get older, you will become poorer. And it will be eventually noticeable. Justice will be served. Thank God all men die. No war but the class war. (Already down voted hahahah)

You’re clearly very passionate, so I thought I’d offer you a bit of friendly advice. Not about the content of what you wrote, that’s a whole different conversation, but about how you’re saying it.

What you’ve posted is a textbook example of something called the fallacy of verbosity. That’s when someone overwhelms the reader with so much information, so many accusations, claims, and ideas, rapid-fire and without evidence, that it feels like you’re trying to convince through sheer volume rather than reason. It’s not persuasive. It’s exhausting.

You’re not giving people a chance to digest or respond to a single thought before you’re already three topics down the road. It doesn’t feel like a conversation, it feels like a rant. And that’s likely why you’re getting downvoted. Honestly, I doubt many people are even reading it all the way through. It’s not necessarily that they’re rejecting your worldview (though some might), but the way it’s presented comes across as incoherent, aggressive, and conspiratorial.

To someone who already agrees with you, maybe this kind of intensity resonates. But to anyone outside that bubble, even someone trying to listen with an open mind, it reads like shouting in a crowded room. No paragraph breaks, no sources, no structure… just a flood of unverified claims, many of which sound reckless or even dangerous without context.

If your goal is to actually reach people, to get them thinking, to change minds, you’ve got to meet them where they are. Speak with clarity, not chaos. Choose a point. Back it up. Invite discussion, not submission.

Right now, you’re not inviting anyone in. You’re just pushing people away.

You don’t have to be insane to not be happy about this. I believe in ‘harm reduction’, which is to say: If joe biden were still president, i would probably not be upset if some medical condition removed him from the presidency, because then he could no longer actively do harm from his position of power.

But now? He has almost no active power or influence over anything. His suffering doesn’t benefit me or reverse any previous harms he’s caused.

While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.

Feels like more of the same strategy of downplaying Biden’s symptoms. I bet when he dies they’ll deny it for a few days.

the form is still hormone sensitive so its treatable, to an extent, obvious with metasis is lower, but prostate usually have good prognosis, but that depends other factors.

much like breast cancers that are hormone sensitive, they are treatable, the ones that triple negative or the rare IBC those are very aggressive and they are not affected by anti-hormone therapy.

This comment section shows that even on decentralized, less mainstream platforms there’s a lot of people behaving similarly to what would be called bots on Reddit. Come on, guys, we can do better than this.

We can acknowledge Joe Biden’s crimes and failures without cheering his sickness and wishing him a painful death. Same with Donald Trump and all the other scummy politicians.

We can also disagree about various policies, issues or parties while treating each other with respect and an open mind, instead of degrading all discussion to ‘communism vs capitalism’ or ‘democracy vs fascism’ arguments.

I know it can be difficult to remain civil towards government officials who are essentially criminals, and anyone who supports or seems to support them in any capacity. However, I personally think we should try.

Technically the decentralized network is MORE susceptible to bots than a centralized network who can pool resources and maintain a sitewide blacklist.

What it is less susceptible is actions made by asshole owners.

So they, the owners and operators of ml, are the worst human beings, worship dictators, but they are also the two main developers for the open source Lemmy project so their instance is one of the oldest and always the most up to date and therefor among the largest instances.

I always love the cognitive dissonance people have seeing others hope that a man directly responsible for a metric ton of civilian deaths, succumbing to a painful death, is not ethically correct.

I mean people seem to have zero issue with United Healthcare. Exorbitant Healthcare costs is the equivalent of death, but literally bombing hospitals and refugee camps isn’t?

Not to mention that he’ll be receiving the latest and greatest in medical aid anyway, so there’s a fair chance he’ll survive. A lot of geriatric asshat world leaders contracted covid and still lived.

Lmao you people are literally delirious and probably incompatible with real life society at all

It’s like you pull every bad take from Reddit and dial it to 10x

Such is the consequence of lack of human contact

      directly

      Sorry, what?

Remind me again — Was Biden Israel’s Prime Minister?

It may help to inform your confusion if you start looking at things with a bit more nuance than these stark black-and-white takes. If you want, I can try to walk you down this road.

Biden directly sent the bombs he knew were going to be used to bomb those hospitals to Israel and then lied that those bombs were not being used to bomb hospitals.

I’d like a source on that, please!

So just to be clear: You believe that Biden indeed was fully aware and wanted Bibi to continue bombing Palestinians indiscriminately?

Or is it perhaps more nuanced in that there was a clear erosion of partnership was the months ticked on; that Bibi was clearly trying to get Trump elected because he was starting to get the cold-shoulder form the Biden/Harris administration; that Biden had started to condition aid on the basis of providing access of humanitarian aid into Gaza?

I don’t think Harris or Biden wanted to be associated, nor condoned genocide. But the position Democrats were placed in was bad spot, considering :

          • a) If they stopped all aid, then Bibi just ignored intelligence or invoked a false flag attack, Democrats would be blamed as leaving Israel defenseless and then news would run with their being antisemitic.

          • b) We can’t forget that the Jewish American electorate in key battleground states were a larger voting bloc, and distancing too much from Israel would not only risk losing this group (who Musk was already dumping $70 million in attack ads to both Jewish and Muslim communities in Pennsylvania alone with opposite messages) — but also inviting the wrath of AIPAC.

Naturally, the strategic move was to espouse palestinian self-determination and a 2-state solution, say Oct 7th was wrong, to push for more humanitarian aid into Gaza, and to call for increased discretion in targeting inside Gaza — which is exactly what Harris did.

Now, congratulations to couch-sitters and uncommitted movement for not only exacerbating conditions in Gaza, but also being “indirectly” responsible for Russia’s genocide in Ukraine, as well as the erosion of human rights in America for trans and women’s bodily autonomy — as well as addressing the impending crisis of climate change, which need I remind you, will kill far more people in the long-run.

US President Biden says he urged Israeli Premier Netanyahu to avoid carpet-bombing Gaza

“You can’t be carpet-bombing these communities,” Biden told Netanyahu during a conversation shortly after the Gaza war started in October 2023, according to the outgoing president.

In an interview with MSNBC late Thursday, Biden said that Netanyahu countered that during World War II, the US carpet-bombed Berlin and dropped a nuclear weapon.

Big shoutout to the uncommitted movement and couch sitters for not rewarding genocide. You could learn a thing or two from them if you do not want Trump again

That is not evidence of your original claim.

Nor is it a refutation to my counter-points.

I’m sure the Gazan residents are oh so grateful for this Pyrrhic grandstanding as the blueprints of turning the strip into a Riviera are being written up.

Meanwhile such couch-sitters certainly enabled the genocide of many by ignoring Trump’s association with another war criminal, Putin and his undermining of Ukrainian aid. And again, can’t forget the blood on their hands for being culpable in choosing the one blocking climate change action, right? I guess you’re also not for women’s rights on abortion or LGBTQ+ rights?

(also LOL for using a Turkish state-run media far-right media outlet. Slow clap.)

I’m aware of the words (which, by the way still do not lend evidence to your aforementioned claim); I’m just curious why one wouldn’t cite the primary source that is MSNBC and instead goes with a far-right extremist state-run outlet. Slow clap, indeed.

How’s sending weapons to Israel, when they are incontrovertibly killing civilians, not being directly responsible?

The Netanyahu government are those deciding to bomb innocents and the IDF are the ones executing the strikes. They are directly responsible.

Biden was continuing to arm them. That is indirect. I realize being pedantic on this topic isn’t going to be very popular.

With all the best doctors the presidents have, they discover it only at the fourth stage?

I’m a lowly peasant and my work let me do a yearly blood+pee test, I assumed that for presidents it would be something like a weekly checkup

cancers can grow very quickly in the short amount of time, only takes weeks for a tumor to grow large suddenly if its an aggressive type. also many cancers, like melanoma can spread with a small tumor extremely fast. the staging depends on how much its spread, and also by the biopsy how much it infilitrated the layers of tissues.
