And if you voted for Harris you voted for someone who unashamedly advocated for and spent US tax dollars on everything Israel is doing right now, up to and including sending an Esptein pedophile to multiple states to lecture primary voters on how, actually, it’s a good thing that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are helping Israel kill their family and friends…

…so I’m not 100% sure what point you think you’re making here. The Dems support war with Iran too, because like Donald, they do everything Israel tells them to.

Seems like you’re making the case that they’re effectively the same which is such horseshit? Honestly sick of this take. Millions of voters chose the lesser of two evils and people that sat on the sidelines with the perceived moral high ground make me sick. This is as much their fault as it is Trump’s actual voters.

          which is such horseshit?

Did you just sleep through the Biden and Obama presidencies, by chance?

Or the 2024 Democratic primaries, where they literally said they weren’t going to change any of their policies? The same ones supporting the genocide and the state-engineered famine?

You have no reason, whatsoever, to argue that what’s happening now would not be happening under a Harris presidency, and it’s a little annoying being gaslit about it yet again.

People who voted for Trump voted for Trump. Go talk to them.

Blaming anyone else is not only an unhinged attempt to claim some sort of moral ownership of an entire bloc, it isn’t even supported by any reasonable reading of the statistics.

This kind of obsession with whipping other people into maintaining an entrenched two-party system is exactly how America let itself spend the last 40 years getting slowly dragged to the Right in the first place.

Every Dem candidate since 1976 has been close to Jimmy Carter.

Every GOP candidate since Reagan has moved further Right.

But… no one voted for Harris in the primaries.

None of us at least. Harris only ran in 2020, and dropped out before the primary elections actually began; in 2024 she was appointed by the DNC because fuckwit Biden waited until the last minute to drop out.

            Bizarre, isn’t it?

Fuck Biden for losing the fucking republic out of his own fucking hubris and ego.

Sorry, I meant it more in a poetic sense to mirror the original sentence. But that was obviously not communicated. My point is more that we should be pressuring DNC candidates to meet the low standards of voters, instead of telling voters that they should abandon their principles. The DNC will never be able to successfully confront the GOP without a positive vision of change and position of blue no matter who can’t offer that

            Learn some history.

Back in the day, ex-slave Frederick Douglas had a choice. He could support a full on abolition candidate who was probably going to lose, or support Abe Lincoln. Lincoln had said that he had no plans to abolish slavery. Douglas decided it was better to support the eventual winner and have a seat at the table than make a futile gesture.

Christ, man, then voters with standards need to start showing up to primaries.

This isn’t some issue where Our Aristocrats™ have already made all their policy positions ahead of time and then forced us poor little plebeians to go along with it. I was fucking on the ground in 2016 and 2020. I remember how the Dem primaries - the primaries for the least right-wing third of this country - went.

Voters choose who runs, extraordinary situations like 2024 exempted. In 1992, in 2000, in 2004, in 2008, in 2016, in 2020, the voters chose who they did because most people do not have the same standards of you or I.

What primaries? You mean the primaries that Biden won due to heavy-handed influence from within the DNC? The primaries that Harris didn’t even run in?

I voted for Williamson in those primaries even though I knew she had zero chance of beating the at the time, current sitting president. I also voted for Harris in the generals because I’m not an idiot.

Wow, so nearly 8 billion people voted for Trump, including every American under 18? Astonishing.
