Embattled FBI duo face renewed scrutiny over botched response to Brown University shooting

Kash Patel’s troubled tenure as Donald Trump’s FBI director may be “at its end,” according to multiple sources, in the wake of the recent mass shooting at Brown University along with a series of other perceived mishaps. Meanwhile, staffers also say that Deputy Director Dan Bongino is already “out the door,” signaling a larger shakeup at the agency.

Patel boasted Sunday on X that the FBI had brought in a “person of interest” in the Brown shooting using “geolocation capabilities” and then added that Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez had praised the FBI for following through on a tip to locate the potential suspect.

A few hours later in a Sunday evening press conference, however, Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said that person had been released, as there was “no basis” to keep them in custody. Patel had made similar announcements about a “person of interest” during the early stages of the FBI’s investigation into Charlie Kirk’s murder, and was also forced to walk those back.

Imma put on my tin foil hat for second and say that I’m pretty sure them being incompetent and eventually fired was always the point. They were used just like the rest of MAGA to do the “dirty work” of dismantling the institutions. Now that they have fucked it all up they can bring someone in that is competent to “save” it but will intentionally rebuild these institutions to serve the purposes of the Heritage Foundation and tech bros. These guys were just used for their stupidity to make room for the smart people that can actually build the fucked up systems that they want.

Every single person that works for Trump is just an expendable torch-bearer, waiting for their turn to be thrown under the bus. Their sole purpose is to soak up as much damage as possible, before being tossed aside and replaced by a fresh meat-shield. It’s like one long relay race of bullshit, with each new spokesperson passing the baton to the next, before falling on their own sword.

I find it hard to believe these idiots don’t realize their only purpose is to be a smokescreen for Trump to hide behind, while they eventually face all the consequences of his actions. How stupid do you have to be, to not see what’s coming for you, when everyone who came before you, ended up with the same fate? The best they can hope for is a pardon, after they’ve completely destroyed their own lives.

Yeah, at this point I don’t expect him to last to 2029 (ugh, that number is too damn big) but also I’m not hitting F5 to see if he’s out yet. He’ll go when the shit stops missing the fan.
