This was always the plan.

This was always the plan.

JFC. Chaya Raichik is so gross.
Well. That was quite a sentence.

This is quite literally the entire reason the 5th amendment exists, in the first place. If someone is trying to trap you into incriminating yourself, you have every right to simply not play along.

Hmmm. Holding him in contempt of Congress for exercising his Constitutional rights? Yep. That checks out.
Eh. I’m actually presenting the idea that breaking these cameras is just putting more of your own hard-earned tax money in Flock’s pocket. Every camera you break is another sale for them.
This really just reminds me of back when Conservatives were going out and smashing Bud Lite by the case, in protest over them doing an ad with a trans person. I just kept thinking, “What does Bud Lite care if you smash their beer? As long as you keep buying it, you can do whatever you want with it…and Bud Lite’s bottom line remains unchanged.”
This feels just like that. I mean, I get it…it’s cathartic. But, you aren’t hurting Flock. You’re just spending your own money over and over again, and they’re making money off of you that they wouldn’t have made otherwise.
That would be ideal. But unfortunately, if the city can’t afford it…they’ll just raise your taxes. Either way, your tax dollars are funding all of this shit.
(and why am I getting down voted for pointing this out?)
When one falls down, they just put up another one, and bill the city for the replacement. Guess who inevitably pays for it?

She just wasn’t willing to throw her own career under the bus, by lying to a judge. But, that’s exactly what Trump expected her to do, so…she’s fucked.

Mentioning Zionism isn’t an endorsement of Zionism. She specifically talks about her “progressive vision” of how to address this conflict. When has it ever been a “progressive” position to endorse or support Zionism?
In order to make what she’s saying, mean what you think it means, you have to assume all the words she’s using mean the opposite of what they usually mean. It makes no sense.
Is she trying to use nuanced language, in order to avoid giving this right-wing interviewer some kind of sound-bite that can be used against her…and us? Yes. But she’s also not saying anything close to what everyone here seems to be criticizing her for.

Lol! Except she’s clearly not a Zionist. Saying that we should be engaging this issue from a leftist perspective isn’t some endorsement of Zionism. It’s the opposite.

Oh. Ok. So, you didn’t actually listen to what she said past the first few sentences then. And you didn’t even really listen to those, either. You just latched onto the first sentence and then ignored everything else.

No. She’s preoccupied with the idea that we (the left) are failing to properly capitalize on the fact that a state acting like Nazis are losing support. This should be the perfect time for us to fill that void with something better…but instead, folks like Tucker Carlson and Laura Loomer are the ones stepping up to do that.

What exactly makes what she said disgusting to you? She’s simply saying that the real anti-Semites are the ones framing the narrative around Israel right now, and making the left look bad in the process. If we don’t step up our game, and start distinguishing ourselves from that narrative, we are going to lose this debate.

I think you’re hearing what you want to hear. It seemed pretty clear when I listened to her, that she’s saying there’s a missed opportunity right now to distinguish the left’s perspective on this subject from the right’s. At present the right is the only side talking about this, so they are the ones framing the narrative…and they are disingenuously taking the moral high ground, while those on the left are being framed as the anti-Semites.
What’s worse, is that online, the left keeps calling everyone “Zionists”, without adding any nuance to their position…which really does make them sound like the ones that have an ignorant position on this subject. Think about it…what do you call someone who lumps everyone into a certain category, whether it fits or not, and labels them with a hostile pejorative?
It kind of seems like you are proving her point about the left’s messaging, and you’re upset with her for calling you out on it.

I hate the fact that the media keeps framing this as something they can even do.

Did no one actually listen to the entire clip? Or, are y’all seriously just reacting to the quote in the headline?
Someone should remind him…again…that executive orders can’t override the Constitution, or change existing laws. The Supreme Court was clear about this…only Congress has the authority to make these kinds of “clarifications”. Not the president.
