Mussolini was captured by Italian partisans on April 27, 1945, while attempting to flee to Switzerland disguised as a German soldier. The following day, April 28, he and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were executed by firing squad near the village of Giulino di Mezzegra in northern Italy.

Their bodies were then transported to Milan, hung upside down in a public square (Piazzale Loreto), and displayed before a crowd. This was done both as punishment and as a warning, since the same square had earlier been the site where Fascists executed resistance fighters.

    Just saying.

Americans talk like they didn’t create the opioid crisis in the first place, profit from it, disavow it and in the process generate a mountain of homelessness. The idea that foreign gangs are arriving on their shores and corrupting the good and honest white folk of America is truly hilarious. Americans love drugs and their society is the perfect shithole to sell painkillers.

After this wonderful exchange, I am pretty sure the majority of americans must be locked in to doing nothing until they declare mandatory federal gun buybacks, ban “smartphones” and start executing people for petty crimes.

An I get it, work, life, groceries, taking care of yourself & family, etc. I discussed something similar in semi-recent posts. I do not have the answer here.

Even if all that I just mentioned happened, I feel like it would not even stir anywhere near 50% of the adult population, which is just my opinion of course. Not exactly scientifically backed, much like future USA medical research. Zing.

I wouldn’t call it a war crime because there’s no war in which the crime was committed. It’s just plain state sponsored murder.

When Mohammed bin Salman ordered the death of Jamal Khashoggi, I didn’t think of that as a war crime, either. Just a simple case of state sponsored murder.

For a politician to openly say he doesn’t give a shit is a very dangerous sign.

An elected official speaking like this to the public means they’ve completely lost their fear of repercussions. They’ve lost their fear of public backlash, of public perception. They’ve lost their fear of being voted out.

It means that in his mind there’s nothing to fear. He thinks he’s untouchable. He’s above you and everything you think and do. He’s your ruler and you’re his subject.

It means he’s no longer afraid of you having a democracy.

I keep saying this and people don’t want to listen. These idiots believe in the rapture, and they think all these things happening are the prelude to that.

I am not kidding, they’re serious about this. Who cares what real world events are happening, they’re sure the Israel situation is happening because Jesus is going to come back any day, and they’re happy to kill us all because it’s worth it.

I hate so much that the most idiotic among us have any power whatsoever.

I sometimes dream about a system in which everyone still gets to vote, but depending on how you score on a test that tests for both knowledge, empathy and intelligence, your vote is counted higher, while those that score lower have theirs weighted less. Politicians are tested as well, and if it is evident that they have too many traits of sociopaths, they are disqualified.

Eh. We don’t need to restrict people’s voting, we just need to start valuing empathy as a society. It’s really both that simple and impossible.

We need to make it impossible to not link JD Vance to his “empathy is toxic” movement that he promoted, and then make it the thing that’s just too embarrassing (or bad for business) to even risk associating with. Which honestly why shouldn’t it be?

Think of the fucking horrific images out of Gaza. This is what is allowed to happen when empathy is toxic. When you see those images, you should also be thinking of the shit eating grins of JD Vance and Peter Thiel, looking way too comfortable hiding behind their “Christian” values while promoting that empathy is toxic bullshit.

And vice versa, it should be impossible to see their faces or the faces of their supporters without automatically thinking of those images. How many history lesson do we really need to remind us how genocide always happens? Those awful fucking images are the past, present, and future, when empathy is toxic.

It’s very shortsighted for leaders to be pro anything that doesn’t have due process.

If this regime doesn’t keep power forever the next regime can just disappear him and his family and just paste his response saying he doesn’t give a shit about due process when someone asks what happened to them.

I was actually thinking about mob justice vs due process yesterday, and how it applies to the most despicable individuals.

On the one hand, mob justice often provides a sense of that guy definitely got what he deserved. But on the other, news about what happened to Mussolini’s body was allegedly what preceded Hitler’s decision to kill himself.

If history had been allowed to witness the two (not to mention Himmler) truly brought to justice on a world stage, could it have potentially decreased the chances others would feel emboldened enough to follow in their footsteps?

I highly doubt it. Power thirsty assholes won’t be stopped so easily.
