I bought some gold a few years ago, the price has gone up quite a lot since. I invested in small little pieces recovered from a lake somewhere. I figured it’s easier to barter with a tiny piece than a huge coin or bar of gold. It’s only a small part of my portfolio. I decided to invest in a mix of stuff, as you never really know the future. A little bit of cryptos, gold, silver, bullets, canned foods, solar panels, batteries, rain catchment and containers, etc. I also worked on my survival skills, tool skills, crafting skills, etc. it’s a huge way to barter with people when you have skills they need. The biggest thing I invested in is raw land in the middle of nowhere. The land has an RV and working on systems to gather water, power, etc. 99% of the stuff will be solar powered, but we do have a diesel heater, it doesn’t use much fuel as we only use it when it’s really cold.
I think gold is just one of the many things needed to survive if things collapsed. If it’s even needed. It’s just one of those things that makes me feel better as an insurance / just in case. But I feel the other things I have done will make a bigger difference if it ever comes down to it.

I was really sketched out with my BLI-KVM. I had a server that was off, when I booted it the bios was in Chinese. Although someone did say that motherboard had a flaw that would do that, I wasn’t Sure if it was the KVM or the motherboard, but still…
I went no contact then moved far away. It helps lol

One of my best uses for home assistant is fine tuning the fridge and freezer temperatures.
At one point the fridge was not cycling and just running the compressors nonstop. I was able to adjust it so it cycles properly and stays within proper temperatures.
I also use it to monitor temperature and humidity inside and outside, cloud patterns, sun set and sun rise times, monitor power use and all my batteries and charge status (off grid). And will keep adding more and more. Hoping to some day monitor my water tanks that will collect rain water soon.
All this and it only consumes maybe 3 watts for all the smart stuff.
Before I moved we used it to have automatic lights in some rooms, and when someone goes in front of the driveway camera all the lights in the house changed color to let us know. That alone was a life saver.

Back in my day we burned a lot of CDs…

I tried to use AI to help me code, it only gave me trash.

Cheap RV living on YouTube is quite popular because people are choosing to live in their vehicles and the freedom to be anywhere.
When I moved, I choose to live in my car for several months. It’s not too bad.

I’m not sure, but I do think it’s just flash

I also recommend downloading “Flashpoint archive” to have flash games and animations to stay entertained.
There is a 4gb version and a 2.3TB version.

It’s truly devastating how much of the old internet has died to the corporations taking over the internet.

They disappeared like pay phones, restaurants giving mints and toothpicks, and public water fountains.
Covid really killed a lot of stuff.

It’s ok, I clicked it for you. Here is a screen shot:

I knew when they paid off Ralph’s to be the ONLY brand in the deli department that something was off, so I stopped buying from the deli. Glad I was right about this. Sketchy company.
Just installed that yesterday lol

It want from “My Computer” to “This PC”.
“Programmed by man”? But didnt they say Microsoft was 30% AI code or something like that.

I know of a YouTuber called the blind homesteader. He has family and friends help him. They have quite the homestead and he often helps the community around his homestead too.
My guess of “no objections” is that the girl is experiencing a date, it’s not cool to stand people up.
AI uses so much power just to give a slop answer, VS having an actual algorithm providing useful info for a fraction of power.
