  • And industry certainly didn’t have to. Whilst Trump is wrong about the effects of trade deficit, he wasn’t wrong about it posing problems for US. Trade deficit isn’t a bad thing, because if done wisely import is essentially foreign investment in domestic production.

The fact that US manufacturers struggle is another way Trump represents the US: the US personified is a horrible short-sighted businessman that can’t get ahead with decades of a head start and endless investment pouring in.

Minivans/MPVs are so much better family cars in practice it isn’t even funny.

They are comfier. Less ground clearance drives better and is more economical. They are actually effective at occasional cargo hauling. And so on. Luckily they seem on the uptick, SUVs are a devolution in practical aspects.

  • Perhaps, though schooling is often struggles to promote solutions that are not efficiency first. In fact as far as I’ve experienced colleges and universities often benchmark the courseload so most will resort to shortcuts that save time and reduce learning.

Of course there are always those who take the path of least resistance, but outside actual prodigies schooling is designed for priorization for those with higher aspirations too.

Not a valueless skill of course, but I’ve often wondered if the courses tight scheduling squeezes in manage to compensate for shoddier fundamentals of the trade and more knowing things to be tested.
