Usually those places are lacking (unfortunately). Food deserts, lack of infrastructure, sometimes even poor medical facilities. Also, locations like these tend to be more conservative, and conservatives are not always the most friendly. I personally did move to a smaller area, but I don’t have a family/kids so I’m able to be more indifferent towards the lack of resources. (I also moved to the hood 👀)

They’re not going to want to hear it. For them, wanting your country to not fall apart equals being okay with genocide. It doesn’t matter that everything is much, much worse. There is even a comment saying this is our punishment for funding genocide. Families that are being broken apart, rights stripped away, growing tensions with literally everyone, and a fucking DOGE department, that’s our punishment for trying to not make things not as terrible as they could be.

I’m so fucking sick of them going “Oh, so you don’t care. You’re okay with bombing people.” No, no we are not. We are not over here giggling happily at the horror going on. I didn’t see anyone in the town halls or protest going, “now, we’re okay with genocide, but only if we have rights.” Just because we are also worried about our country does not automatically mean that we don’t care anyone else.

The people in my country are also important. I want them to have Healthcare and food and basic rights. Trying to make the best choice out of two shitty choices is not us going “well, genocide is a okay.” Over, and over, and over we were told there’s no difference between who was elected. BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. This is the fucking difference. I don’t want to focus on fucking Musk and Trump. I don’t even see people speak about the genocide as much anymore because we’re drowning in Trump/Musk news. The protests in my area have shifted because we can’t protest if we don’t even have the right to do so. We can’t vote against anything if we CAN’T FUCKING VOTE.

I wish it was as simple as just not voting, or at the very least not having a two party system, but we did not have that option last election. It was either Harris or Trump. Did I fucking want Harris? NO! Did I believe she would be, even if by a small amount, easier to deal with than Trump, yes. Yes I fucking did. It’s because it has that “80/20” energy some like to push. Not so much a complaint on dating overall, only the “women only one six feet, six figures, six inches” narrative.

You have to also look at the fact that men outnumber women on the app overall. It’s about 65% men, so women are going to have a bigger pool to reject from. And while it is true that women rate men less attractive, they also put less value on their apperence overall as a factor in dating. It also came out that this was based off of first glance only with no review of the profiles attached to them and, when looking at overall trends, it’s more even, (outside of men tending to like young women regardless of their age).

I think the okcupid data also went on about how certain races get more or less attention as well. At the end of the day, both sides can be picky. I think people like to push that data to help with the “80/20” idea to help push this idea that men are now being unfairly judged in comparison to women to help with the gender war narrative.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I don’t think that means dating isn’t hard for men, but I just don’t believe dating websites to be a reflection of real life.

He is the world’s richest fucking man. Fuck him. He could have the best doctors/therapy/drugs in the world, could travel the world and “find himself,” maybe even do something worth writing about. But he chooses to be a completely waste of human flesh that will be nothing but a smear in history. That’s his legacy. A shit smear on an already shit covered era. He’s not helping anyone, not even his own kids, he is willfully putting his effort into being the biggest piece of shit.
