    It’s cool to see a nationally recognizable politician legitimately geek out meeting celebs tho. Biden hanging out with Clooney was such a bad look, because they were both so used to it.

    This was humanizing for Mamdani, and rather than just say he’s great, all the celebs made it about what he can do to fix shit.

    It’s the opposite of tone deaf.

        It’s a lot more interesting than that.

        It’s a commentary on the financial aspect of art, and how traditional art can’t be shared with everyone for free, but music can.

        There’s an 88 year clock before the owner can sell copies, and they’re not supposed to give out duplicates. But since the date of purchase the owner, and only the owner, can release it publicly for free.

        Either it’s for everyone for free, or one person for an exorbitant amount of money that’s clearly not worth the price.

        It’s some deep shit, not everyone is going to get it.
