    Because “woke” has no hard definition and is just used as a derogatory term for anyone who doesn’t agree with them. For them being “woke” is the worst thing someone can be. If that happens to be another right-winger then all well.

    On top of that Trump has been courting every type of right-winger that even vaguely has a pulse to bolster his support. Essentially diluting whatever meaning “woke” had even further.

    Can we all abuse the word woke until it’s like a common replacement for shit?

    Like;

    • This coffee is fucking woke
    • I dumped a massive woke today
    • This president is a fucking woke hitler
    • Elon is as woke as it gets

    The term has yet to develop a consensus definition. The psychologist Jordan Peterson, who was one of the main figures popularizing the term, told Joe Rogan in April that the “woke right” was really a matter of “psychopaths” on social media who care mostly about being inflammatory and publicly antisemitic and only pretend to care about the conservative movement. Peterson and those like him see this phenomenon as the bile of the internet, rather than a matter for real political analysis.

    We’re all looking for the guy who did this!
