      They already got rid of the house of representatives, so why not do the senate too? Trump has publicly said on multiple occasions he doesn’t need them.

    I thought Trump was some kind of magic “deal maker”. He used to go on and on about how any government shutdown would be the fault of the president, simply because it was the president’s job to “get everyone in a room, and get a deal done”. Where’s that guy now?

      It’s 2028. Somehow there were elections, Trump was voted out, and Democrats have full control.

      “As a show of good faith, our first act will be to re-establish the filibuster.”

        Republicans: “New rule: you can only get rid of filibuster for 3 years, after that it automatically comes back”

        Democrats: “Sounds reasonable…”
