Did anyone else watch Kat’s video of being “thrown” to the ground and think it was more like a push followed by loss of balance? To me, “thrown to the ground” means you give them more downward force than just gravity.

The clip you showed there was what I was thinking of. I saw it as part of a much larger video posted by Kat, and I wasn’t sure that was the “throw” everyone else was referencing. It’s definitely that officer’s fault she went to the ground. He threw her laterally, causing her to fall backwards.

“thrown to the ground” vs. thrown (really, pushed) laterally. Yep.

It may seem minor. If someone said they were punched, and you watched their video and they were slapped hard, you’d wonder why they were sloppy in the characterization. It doesn’t make slapping good.

That’s your gripe? That’s what you’re splitting hairs on? The angle of force delineating “shove” vs. “push”? What a weak-as-fuck whinge.

One would think most people possess a cognitive filter to keep that level of stupid from escaping the bounds of their internal monologue. Well, maybe a decade ago, one would… 🤔

No, I share the main gripe as everyone else. It’s also important to me that my “side” be as accurate as possible. I am raising a side issue.

I’m sure you and others have the capacity to discuss more than one thing at once.
