The Trump administration has excluded smartphones from its steep “reciprocal” tariffs as it battles to calm global markets by tempering its approach to the multifront trade war launched by the president.

According to a notice posted late on Friday night by Customs and Border Patrol, which is responsible for collecting tariffs, smartphones, along with routers and selected computers and laptops, would be exempt from reciprocal tariffs, which include the 125 per cent levies Donald Trump has imposed on Chinese imports.

    Of course he did.

This whole tariff thing was a shakedown, and a strategy to enrich his cronies via stock manipulation.

This guy is such a sad caricature of a true leader. All he does is whine and cry for attention. The moment some true leader stand up to him he folds immediately. People who fell for this shit have reasoning skill of an ameba.

Looks like Tim Apple’s $1 million contribution to HitlerPig’s unregulated Inauguration fund paid off.

I’m glad you cleared up being against his tariffs. What about his sexism?

So much going on in this comment. What does being a “real man” or a “menstruating woman” have to do with having courage in your convictions?

Maybe I’m missing subtle irony? I get it that this is traditional republican language. But this reads like an affirmation of these gender stereotypes.

I think there are better ways of illustrating republican cognitive dissonance than parroting it in your critique of them.

no that’s what a rational person should do after making a mistake. you want him to double down on worse recession and worse inflation?

Ok same story about him backing down a bit on illegals who work in farm industries, and said he would even give these workers in paeticular a path to get their papers and work legally. but you want what? do you want him to double down on a stupid racist decision that would destroy all the farming industries?

to be clear im against everything he does. but we are already stuck with him for more 3.5 years… why the fuck would I want him to double down on decisions that hurt millions of disadvataged people. it takes humility and guts to own up and admit you made a mistake.
