I keep thinking this about anyone that brings it up. It seems sexuality is their whole identity so that’s how they must see everyone else too. I can’t imagine mine or other’s sexuality being so consistently at the forefront of my mind. Of all the things, why that? If they can’t keep it out of their mind, at least keep it in their head so others don’t have to deal with it.
Where I live, your name and residential address is confirmed by a registrar before you are given the ballot paper. This prevents duplicity or incorrect voting. If you live in a new area but failed to update you previous residential address, therefore can’t be found, you vote under the old address and area once they can find you in that registry. If no details match or can be found, you don’t get to vote.
Not accounting for queue time, the former takes a minute, the latter takes about three as you have to go to another part of the booths where other national registrars attempt to locate and confirm you.

I work in statistics and we never use girl of woman, only female. The line is vastly different in age and meaning depending on culture, religion, law, or heritage. Even in western societ, 13, 16, 18, and 21 are all valid before tipping to 40, 50, 60, 65, 68, and 70 where the term can be prefixed with some form of adjective.
It’s old-fashioned. Just say female and every culture/society understands you without confusion or insult. Save you embarassing/insulting people while travelling too.

Thanks to coding, I see center as a position and centre as an object. But for the most part, I find US spelling to be lazy spelling for poor pronunciation. Like people just started saying the word wrong and rather than fixing that, just started spelling it wrong too.
Aluminium is prob the weirdest. Like everything on the periodic table ending with -ium; the Latin morpheme in chemistry. But the US just-…like, how?!
