I miss things spreading by word-of-mouth, not The Algorithm.™

I miss people making things for fun, not for the exit strategy.

I miss misinformation being called out and bullied mercilessly, not rewarded for Engagement.™

I miss Nazi being hyperbole, not an alternative viewpoint we’re supposed to acknowledge as valid.

They hate Elmo, too.

Any investment or possible “profit” is lost as soon as a road needs repairs. And high-use roads need repairs waaaaay more often and are a lot more expensive than maintaining a rail system.

Reminder that woke was originally used as a positive term.

I grew up agnostic/atheist in the Bible Belt. There was a lot of casual discrimination, ostracism, and judgement if you weren’t Christian. Even among different churches. I’d have loved for there have been more Christians like you, but unfortunately the TV/Fox News Christians are all over the place down there.
