Latest outburst comes as his push to rebrand the emerging technology increasingly falls flat

Donald Trump on Thursday opened up a new front in his ongoing war against commonly used terms and geographic names by warning that anyone referring to Large Language Models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude as “Artificial Intelligence” would earn themselves a place on his enemies list.

Writing on Truth Social, he declared that the White House “considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY!”

The president’s outburst-cum-veiled threat landed just over a week after he signed an executive order directing executive branch agencies to begin referring to artificial intelligence, which is now embedded across the federal government, as “super intelligence” following a lunch with leaders in the AI industry, including Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, Dario Amodei and others.

That’s okay, Don. I was already your enemy.

Oh, and you’ve got it backwards. You’re the one who’s the enemy of our Republic. And pretty much everyone else, too.

Loyalty test. If you don’t use their language you don’t support them.

History tells us this is common with these types of regimes.

If ‘super intelligence’ is such a “highly accepted” phrase, why is Trump so insecure about some people not using it? The ‘gentleman’ doth protest too much.

Instead of “artificial intelligence” or “super intelligence", how about “Trump-like intelligence”?

Everyone can read into that whatever implications they want.

Wonder if he’ll be dumb enough to fight Apple as well who calls it AI, using the name Apple Intelligence since iOS 18. It got a lot more Integrated with their latest OS’s but I don’t see them throwing away the name Apple Intelligence so quickly after putting the name in over a billion devices.

This whole thing is distraction from what he is doing to steal the election, because of high oil prices because what he did to Iran to distract from Epstein files.

I really hate what US media have became. They purposefully report that crap so they don’t have to report on things that actually matters.

With the kind of greedy pussies that run these outfits, who knows. I could totally seeing them bending the knee because donnie dumbass had a brainfart the one day.

It’s weird to live in these times. On the one hand, we are having breakthrough after breakthrough on so many levels. Things are definitely trending in the right direction on so many things over the decades. We may be on the brink of some really incredible progress in so many technological and scientific things.

But then we get a total dipshit like this in the WH, ruining just about everything. And he’s just impossibly stupid.

It’s a computer. It’s ones and zeros following a program. It will NEVER have intelligence.

It is technically Artificial Stupidity. There is NO I.Q there.

IQ is just a measure of pattern recognition. An AI can do that well. Our brains are just like computer, with neurons instead of matrices. Our brains are just way more complex. It’s hard to define intelligence.

Our brains are electro-chemical. Not just like a computer.

The chemicals are what “decided” to make or break a connection. No digital machine is going to emulate that.

The brain is just a different machine.

And of course digital systems can emulate analogue systems.

Not that that’s a prerequisite for intelligence.

The two super computers that the NWS uses to predict the weather are consistently at odds with each other.

Same program, same input, different output.

When things get real complicated, things start behaving unpredictably.

Then you have entropy. That machine is heading for the junkyard. How many repairs will you tolerate?

If it’s really, really complicated, how will you know it’s broken?

Can you people stop embarrassing yourselves? We get it, you don’t like LLMs. But we’ve been calling shitty things AI for a long time. It was “AI” when Skyrim NPCs assumed it must have been the wind that shot their fellow guards.

There is a very good reason I don’t like them.

Rich people don’t have “talent”. They rent or buy talent.

A.I. (LLMs) allows “wealth” to access “talent” without letting talent access wealth.

That is WHY the rich want A.I.

Now what rich person would NOT want that?

And what poor person would want that?

          See the problem yet?

The rich (people that own LLMs) are NOT stealing your money, they are stealing “what you are worth” (a living wage).

            Yes, yes, we get it.

            A.I. (LLMs)

Not all generative AI models are LLMs, in fact what modt people immediately think of outside of tech/development is image and audio generation, which is why a catchall term has been generally agreed.

No, no, we just need an executive order requiring federal agencies use the term, then the Library of Congress will update the LOC subject headings and the college libraries will (by default) adopt the new subject headings and it’ll be so much fun /s

          It’s short for fetching

          fetching/fĕch′ĭng/

          adjective

          Very attractive; charming.

          “a fetching new hairstyle.”

          Drawing favorable attention.

          “a fetching new hat”

          Similar: appealingtakingwinning

          Attractive; pleasant to regard.

Just a few though. Biden is obviously a war criminal. From the Democratic party, no less. Such a massive disappointment and disgrace. We need to apply the best medical science we have to keeping him and trump alive so we can try them and give them a few sunset years in prison before they croak. We have the technology, lets use it. I dont care what it costs. Dying is getting out much too easy for their crimes.
