The old gal passed away about 20 years ago and I’m a sentimental idiot. I have a few items in the house that are not allowed to fail, this is one of them.
This igniter is mounted in a very handy location by the stove for cooking, but it frequently gets knocked off. Yesterday I managed to drop it in a bucket of water. I disassembled it, cleaned it, dried it and now it works perfectly.
Forget supercars, this is the pinnacle of Italian engineering.
My wife loved her Dad’s old cast iron frying pan. He got it from his mother. It was well over 100 years old. We got our stove replaced, and it wasn’t until the next day that she realized that she had left it in the old stove when they took it away.
As good as new cast iron is. It’s the decades of family use that really make them shine.
Get her a new pan, and let her start a new journey to becoming an heirloom.
