The British military said a cargo ship on the new Omani UN-backed route sustained bridge damage from a projectile, hours after the IRGC warned that vessels without Iranian permission were transiting "illegally".

It takes two to negotiate in good faith. Both Iran and the USA need to want peace, external pressure can only go so far in negotiations.

    So the projectile acted autonomously, without any intervention by any of the conflict parties? Is the projectile now it’s own conflict party? What will this mean for the future of the conflict?

      It’s not an escalation, don’t worry. The projectile declared independence before it exploded.
