Pringles once had flavour? In comparison to other brands, even the home brands from the discounters, Pringles are boringly flavourless.

I never understood why people would pick pringles over other chips. The consistency is weird and it’s just questionable stuff pressed into shape. It’s the sausage of chips

I haven’t had Munchos since high school. Used to love them. But even then, I started to notice the amount of chips in each bag getting less and less.

It’s like when they started selling “whipped” yogurt for more than regular yogurt, despite it just being regular yogurt plus air.

Shrinkflation, or something like that I guess.

Chips are pretty unhealthy, so I try not to eat them much. So for me, less is generally better. Also, Munchos are salty as hell. But that said… gotta have 'em once in a while!

Pringles might be good for some kind of insulation project, maybe. They’re certainly not fit for human consumption, these days.

The day companies realized “hey, we’re already so successful that we can just change up our recipes, still sell the same product and people will just buy on name value alone”.

Unfortunately, it works because people are that dumb.

don’t let 'em gaslight ya, in 2008 they did some rework on fat and salt, around 2010 they screwed with a lot of different flavors. They used to have a pretty heavy tomato+herb taste, but it’s been quite a while.

Does everything else taste normal to you? Just asking on the outside chance covid or something has impacted your sense of smell and taste (happened recently to a parent).

Idk what Pringles did to their formula… But I don’t like them anymore.

The Lays equivalent is wayyyyyy better. Just less flavors to choose from.

I got no idea but logically i would think ‘corporation want cheaper seasoning but increase price of pringle, make more money by use less money, profit make shareholders happy’ or something dumb like that.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve had Pringles brand potato chips as we call them in the good ole USofA. I think in other countries they’re called CRISPRs or Jollysnots or something?

Can’t say I’ve had the pizza flavor. A few weeks ago I nearly gave into temptation as I was going down THAT isle in the grocery store and I saw some new to me flavors along the lines of loaded baked potato and loaded nachos. Sounded great in theory, and I was probably very hungry at the time, but I passed knowing they almost certainly taste … lame at best.

There was a time in my life when I liked some of the basic flavors like BBQ, but I feel like the shittification (which is different from enshittification) happened a long time ago, perhaps even before you were born.

I’m going to assume the vast majority of the comments are going be along the lines of “they’ve always been shitty”. How old were you when you thought they were good?
