The Court of Justice of the EU ruled against Poland and fined them for [~half a billion €}(https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-court-finds-poland-guilty-in-rule-of-law-dispute/). The EU started an Article 7 procedure against them and stopped it after the new government started to implement changes. Oh, and the new government came into power through voting, I didn’t know that’s something “clearly fascist” countries do.
