    I think I am just saying that the argument “two children on a scooter” seems to be a scapegoat.

    As a kids, we we would ride on our local neighbourhood streets like so. I am not sure what the argument would be if we got hit by a car.

      So I’ve checked and the “two kids on one scooter” is actually not a problem in UK. Private e-scooters are illegal on public roads and you need a driving license to rent one. That’s why he’s being charged with causing death by driving unlicensed.

      But you were asking about the car owner for some reason. I still fail to see how is that relevant.
