    Study after study has been done on every election looking for people who publicly say they are moving if their party lost. They found consistently that the number of people who follow through are in the single digits.

    Trump famously said he was going to leave the US when he lost to Biden. We all begged him to go but nope.

    MAGAs have repeatedly said they are going to move to Russia or Argentina or other conservative places only to realize they wouldn’t be in the ruling class.

      I did this myself, when Connecticut rejected a constitutional convention in 2008. I believe that representatives are generally for sale and a direct initiative is absolutely necessary. So I moved somewhere where I have more of a voice.

      If CA didn’t ask my permission to redistrict, I would’ve been mad about it. But the additional oversight makes a huge difference to me and I’m quite happy with today’s result.

        I hope he and his family are doing okay. The UK is certainly better than the US, but it’s increasingly becoming less appealing as an alternative.
