House Speaker Mike Johnson called the demonstrations against the Trump Administration a “Hate America rally” and claimed it would draw the “pro-Hamas wing” of the Democratic party and “the antifa people.” Majority Whip Tom Emmer accused Democrats of “promoting the terrorist wing of their party.”
They are either hoping to incite violence by their nationalist supporters (proud boys, oath keepers, patriot front, general neo nazis) or they already know something is planned and they’re going to let it happen.
If something happens, don’t ever let them forget they are just as responsible as those who carry it out.
If you’re going out tomorrow, it would be a wonderful day to treat yourself to some boutique sodas in glass bottles.
So if you’re expecting a crackdown, why is defenselessness the main theme of the protest? If it doesn’t arrive, won’t the crackdown just be on the people you refuse to defend? Where are the people placing themselves between ICE and their victims? I am more impressed by the tamale-loving cyclists.

If you had it your way, we’d not be able to protest today. You’re either working for Trump, or you’re unknowingly working for Trump.
He wants violence. Without it, his attempts at a military takeover are being fought by legal systems, and public opinion is strongly against him, and dropping.

Do you not know what a protest is for? Like, it’s not meant to have a direct cause and effect.

Or just post a video of you doing what you are chiding others of not doing and stop ICE, so we can take notes. We can always do a little better :)
I am well aware that the protest is meant to accomplish nothing. Not only that it denounces the prospect of active resistance against ICE.
