This isn’t what happened. Imgur was being fined for collecting data of under 13s without parental consent and so decided to block the UK. I won’t say the OSA didn’t factor into this as I’m not privy to that information, but the main cause seems to be the fine under the Data Protection Act.
Other way round. Imgur blocked the UK because they were apparently collecting children’s personal data without proper parental consent, so rather than comply with the law and/or pay a fine they decided to just block the UK.

I thought that only applied to 18+ sites? Last I checked, it wasn’t exactly like Imgur is overflowing with porn and gore or anything…
AFAIK, it applies to any site offering “adult content”
