At this point I’m rooting for the collapse of the federal government. Every state has to fend for itself or make alliances with other states.

Blue states will be fine on their own, but would very likely form alliances, securing their welfare.

Red states will fail and die.

    Sounds great to me.

As of right now blue states are in an abusive relationship with the federal government and red states and we’d be better off without them.

      Bingo.

Better to entirely stop relying on the federal government and focus on state government.

        100x this.

I want the answer to be mass organizing with a view towards a nationwide general strike to bring this regime to its knees. That’s clearly not happening. Not when we need sustained pressure through protests to even get started on that. We’ve had almost a year now to prep, and the results are barely a start towards that.

So Plan B: soft secession. Blue states stop sending money to the federal government. Even promise to the citizens of those states that they don’t owe federal income taxes, and prevent the IRS from enforcing anything. States will probably have to raise their own taxes to make up for certain things.

Then start building agreements between states for things like healthcare and transportation. If the Supreme Court says those agreements are unconstitutional, tell them to fuck off.

To be fair, I’ve read that this was his fear with the last shutdown standoff. Now that they’re basically destroying the federal government with/without a shutdown he seems more committed to not caving in.

Not sure if that’s what we’ll actually see, but seems a little more hopeful.

Holy abusive relationships, Batman! Are they really getting set to hit us and say “look what you made me do”?

Buy your guns and ammo now folks

If the government shuts down there will be general strikes and the military will start shooting protesters.

Don’t let it be a one sided battle.

Also buy dry food, medical aid, basic medicines, solar chargers, and maybe communication devices…if you can
