In an interview hosted by Politico, the California governor said the US must ‘wake up’ to the the threat posed by the president’s disregard of democratic norms
Donald Trump is gravely serious about running for a third term in violation of the US constitution, California governor Gavin Newsom said on Wednesday, warning Americans to “wake up” to what he described as the president’s flagrant disregard for democratic norms.
“I don’t think Donald Trump wants another election,” Newsom, a Democrat, said during a live interview at a summit hosted by Politico in Sacramento. “This guy doesn’t believe in free, fair elections.”
Newsom, who has gained national attention in recent weeks for his merciless trolling of Trump online and who is widely considered a presidential contender, said he had a stack of two dozen “Trump 2028” hats sent to him by the president’s supporters.
Let’s be honest. He’ll just declare a “national emergency” and suspend elections, no third term necessary. He’s trying it out in DC and LA now. It’s all in the dictator playbook.
True, except the guy can’t read so he’s not getting it from the playbook. He’s just being a standard narcissist and doing things that a narcissist would do.
Hopefully his heart disease is serious about preventing him.

I’ve heard heart issues. The latest hand showing with make-up being to cover bruising from IVs to balance fluids. All speculative I think, but I’m hoping for the worst, most painful yet effective and fast solution.
I guess they’re officially saying chronic veinous insufficiency as the cause of his cankles but people were speculating that it was heart failure or something similar.

I am 100% serious when I say I really think the best case scenario is economic collapse and balkanization. I truly believe that’s how we get out with the least amount of blood spilled.

Well, consider this: Palpatine was unable to sit on the throne when he had all of the electricity and sith magic and shit flowing through him. It was only after he like stole the life force from the girl and the guy who was bad (but had a change of heart and now it’s all good, no big whoop) that he was able to get near, and eventually sit on, the throne.
Seems pretty clear that electrifying the hypothetical non-living president while sitting on a throne is unlikely to work.
