I was taught if you don’t have anything nice to say to not say anything at all. Generally if you feel the need to add “just being honest” you’re probably just being rude.
I mean, he’s not really defending pedophiles, he’s just saying that some people like to hurt others so they’ll pick a group who are hated by the vast majority of people, so that they won’t face any repercussions. It’s more of a simple comment rather than a show of support for fucking pedophiles.
The irony being that in that very comment I even almost added something to the effect of “because they use it as a shield, as soon as you criticize their violence they accuse you of defending pedophiles” but I didn’t think it was necessary.
