    I don’t know why clothes that have sat around for a long time get funky but I don’t think it’s dust per se. Keeping clothes in a drawer generally keeps dust off of them but they still get funky.

      If they do you might have high humidity. Depending on the climate you live in better ventilation might help.

        Dehumidifier in the summer, particularly in basement areas, is a good idea as well. The AC will lower humidity, but depending on your setup may not fully lower it to the right level.

          The dehumidifier will heat up the room, the AC will have to run more, and your electricity bill will be an absolute doozy.

            Vastly cheaper and healthier than mold.

            Never fuck around with water/humidity in your home. Do it right.

    There’s dust in closets, too. I just bought a 3-pack of zippable plastic dust covers for all the hanging clothes I don’t wear often because they were getting dusty AF.
