'I have decided not to sign the law that would allow Poland to take out the so-called SAFE loan. I will never sign a law that undermines our sovereignty, our independence, as well as our economic and military security,' President Karol Nawrocki said in a televised address on Thursday.

What? This is Poland making it more difficult for Poland to access preferential loans for defense from EU. This in any way affect EU or any other country. It can actually mean more money for other countries. Why would EU cut their funding over this?
