    Who in the party supported Trump during his first campaign? The whole party was against him. Until he won.

      It’s not the “party” that matters… It’s who is giving money to the party. Sometimes it takes a minute for the donors to settle on the same horse.

        And last time they settled on Trump who didn’t have any support inside the party. So what makes you think they can’t settle on MTG now? Clearly they don’t look on how many committees someone is sitting.

          The question is whether or not the base will follow. Trump may have been a singular phenomenon.

          Probably wishful thinking though.
