      I can’t even tell if you’re talking about the US or not, I know for a fact that the US is infamous for being pro censorship

        This is the first sentence from the page you posted. The scanning is already legal. It was approved in 2021. They are voting on an extension now. The wording of the post makes is sound like this will let companies do something new.
