Humans are cheating since we’ll eat anything that’s edible, and a lot of things that aren’t supposed to be.

How do you get that out nicely? Turn it upside down and smack its bottom?

If he’s not on it then saying this just makes him suspicious for no reason, would’ve been better off not saying anything. If he is on it, that would explain some things.

If a story doesn’t have a satisfying conclusion, then I would say starting the story is pointless.
