Anecdotal personal observation, I didn’t research the literature.
I try to contribute to things getting better, with sourced information, OC and polite rational skepticism.
Disagreeing with a point ≠ supporting the opposite side, I support rationality.
Let’s discuss to make things better sustainably.
Always happy to question our beliefs.

when I search Reddit or read comments online, I often see people joking or implying that Asian women prefer white men over Black men, or that Black men should not even bother. Sometimes it feels like there is a quiet racial hierarchy being reinforced, where whiteness is treated as the safest or most accepted option, and Black men are treated as undesirable, threatening, or socially costly.
Yes, there is still a racial hierarchy being socially reinforce, it is getting weaker, but slowly. The average society moves slowly, seeing black people getting better represented everywhere every year does not mean the previous centuries of racism are over. Intimate relationships will probably be one of the last things to equalize because it is the furthest away from rationality. So we sadly still need strong minded and/or strongly in love “pioneers” defying social conventions and taking the emotional risks to help make this aspect of racism wash away.
Mmm I see you enjoy playing hard mode. Get the skills for a full remote office job with visa suport, then seduce some colleague with your emoji game on Slack.
Maybe you can give it a try in real life.
If you have a highly desired skill in developed countries, like medecine, engineering, highly skilled technician etc. it’s a good way to get a long term visa supported by the hiring organization. Usually those countries will advertise the professions they want next to professional visa procedures. Otherwise you can try to marry someone from there.

Let’s hope my predictions are wrong then. Are you betting on it?

Just reminding people Kobo is not just that nice little Canadian tech company anymore, it’s part of tech giant. So don’t fall for the David and Goliath narrative that is implied here. It’s rather third-rate Goliath and Goliath. So take your precautions where you can. I sadly don’t have an alternative to suggest.

I don’t want to ruin good news, but everyone needs to know that Kobo is owned by the shitty Japanese Amazon equivalent called Rakuten since 2012. So the risk of enshitification is pretty high, why not if the hardware is nice, but try to cut as many software ties as possible.

Or the fossil fuel are not taxed enough, or even not taxed at all like plane fuel. Reducing taxes is reducing the money a country can invest into itself, in this case probably network development, green development support and regulation. This kind of idea is usually supported by capital owners.

Rotten Tomato maybe? Also recommendations from critics you like.

“Today I learned” is probably appropriate considering you probably just learned about this old news and you want to share it.
Edit: am I talking to a bot?

Strawman fallacy, these people do not support the genocide, they support electing the lesser evil.
Top picture has as a huge artificial loan and isolated houses with big gardens are not great either. It feels like a very USA centric point of view of what is ecological. People forget or ignore the impact of ground footprint. Turning natural ground into artificialized ground for humans is the first cause of biodiversity loss. It’s better to have dense cities with reasonably tall apartment buildings and let nature or sustainable agriculture reclaim the rest. I think that’s what solar punk promotes, not the top picture.

Edgy leftist teens in particular

They over-consumed the goods from those countries and they lost their minds.

I’m happy for your people and for Europe. I hope this movement keeps its promises.

Allons-y!
Remember the resurgence of jokes about France surrendering? Same background.
Btw, it was not only refusing to let them fly, but primarily refusing to join the war while the UK, Australia, Poland, Spain or Italy did join that time.
Hi, I’m the brave soul reading it for you.
