Same. Although for a second I was considering if this was real… shows what stupidity we’ve become accustomed to
This makes me wonder if there is a maximum thread depth on lemmy 🤔

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•How solar panels generate electricity
24·26 days agoI know this is supposed to be a joke, but it’s important to understand how it really works:
- particles from the sun hit the solar panel
- the panel accelerates those particles, which creates fissile material
- the fissile material is the used in a traditional nuclear reactor
- the nuclear reaction finally heats water

Locate is like
find, except it uses a cache (so finds things faster, provided your cache is up to date)

- Keep it in the fridge
- Only use clean spoons (don’t let breadcrumbs, butter, saliva touch the jam in the jar)
- Immediately close the jar after taking something out.
-> rarely ever any mold. I keep my jams fresh for months this way.

Programming@programming.dev•Bun has been acquired by Anthropic
4·1 month agoSupported as in “you can install an interpreter on most machines”: yes
But for JS it’s already there. You can just write a program, upload it someone, send someone a link and it runs. And it’s even sandboxed.
(Although thanks to webassembly, that will be true for many more languages as well, so maybe my argument is void)

Programming@programming.dev•Bun has been acquired by Anthropic
6·1 month agoNot saying it should be used for everything, but it is a pretty decent language nowadays (lots of the annoying parts have been fixed in the last 15yrs). Although the main benefit imho is, that it is the closest thing we have to an interpreted language that runs everywhere.
Riding horses into battle is really tricky. For cavellery horses, basically you have to keep riding towards a crowd with the horse. During training, the crowd is your accomplice, and as soon as the horse approaches, everyone in the path of the horse steps out of the way. You do that over and over, until the horse is confident that the humans will always step out of the way. Once the horse is confident enough, it will be willing to go faster. You keep training the horse, until it can truly charge quickly. Then finally, if there is a real battle, you can use all uour trained horses, to charge once. Any horse that gets even slightly hurt during the charge, will likely never trust you again. Because humans fucking suck, and can’t be trusted.
